...................... Hey Everyone!
Well, it’s been a while since I’ve done my last blog, so I thought I’d give a little update of some cool stuff going on. Springtime is always great because it’s when the touring starts to really pick up. This year is no exception, and I’m really looking forward to doing many great festivals and venues with The Infamous Stringdusters. Visit www.thestringdusters.com for updated tour dates, music, etc.. While you’re there, sign up for our email list. We’ll let you know when we are coming to your area, and when special announcements need to be made like new albums, etc.
One very exciting show that’s coming up is Thursday April 30th at the historic Belcourt Theatre in Nashville, TN. This will be the first time the ‘Dusters have played their own show in Nashville since the release party at the Station Inn last June, and we have the amazing Jedd Hughs starting the evening solo. If you’ve never seen Jedd, get ready to be blown away. He is a bad ass! Get your tix in advance to save a few bucks and to be sure you get in by clicking here: http://www.ticketsnashville.com/WebSales/Pages/TicketSearchCriteria.aspx?evtInfo=15417~3a28c818-27b3-492b-8c64-14556ad966cd&epguid=e8dfbc7c-00ea-47f0-afa9-285fd4b1aba7&
Tickets are going fast, and you don’t want to miss this one!
.. ..
Jesse Cobb and I are planning a short duo tour while the band is off at the end of May. The shows have not all been finalized yet, but it should all be done by sometime next week. Here’s what it’s looking like:
Tuesday, May 26th at Jack of the Wood in Asheville, NC
Wednesday, May 27th TBA in Greensboro, NC....
Thursday, May 28th at The Purple Fiddle in Thomas, WV....
Friday, May 29th at The Parkside Lounge in New York City, NY (7:30 – 9:00)
Saturday, May 30th at The Grey Horse Tavern in Bayport, New York. Jesse and I will be playing this show with my brothers, Tom and Patrick and special guests. This will be a seated show in a very intimate room upstairs at the Grey Horse. Tickets are very limited, and there will be 2 shows at 8:00 and 10:00, get your tix in advance for only $10. Call the Grey Horse Tavern for more details on how to get tickets at (631)472-1868.
.. ..
And remember to go to www.thestringdusters.com and check out our merchandise page for all the latest music, posters, t-shirts, and other ‘dusters goods, including the latest ‘Duster solo project by Jeremy Garrett, ‘I Am A Stranger’. It is a KILLER record, I promise you will love it, so please check it out.
Make sure you are supporting your local music venues by going out to see shows. Many wonderful venues are closing or facing closing in these hard times, and without the venues, live music in your area will be no more. Show them that you value their place as an important part of your community by catching a show whenever you can.
I suppose that’s it for now. Thanks for reading, and see you down the road sometime really soon!

Hello everyone… It's getting to be that time of year again…More time at home, which for me means time to woodshed a bit, which is very exciting. We have toured all over the world this year, and it's looking like next year will not be different. So I'm taking this extra time home to practice, write, and catch up with friends I rarely get to see during the heavy touring season. That being said, there are still a bunch of shows left this year, and I hope to see you there. Please check the calendar for when we might be coming to your area….or better yet, go to our website at www.thestringdusters.com and sign up for our email list. When you do that, be sure to include your zip code so you don't get bothered with emails for a show that's happening 1000 miles away from you! I am especially looking forward to New Years Eve, when we play at the Ryman with Del McCoury and the Emmit Nershi Band…Should be an epic night in an amazing venue, and would strongly urge anyone in the area to come to this show.. Well, I suppose that's it for now…Here are a few links for my other internet 'hang outs' where you can find out about shows, purchase music, check out photos, etc… www.reverbnation.com/andyfalco www.myspace.com/andyfalco http://www.facebook.com/people/andyfalco/profile.php?id=610422655&ref=name Thanks so much, and hope to see you down the road sometime soon! Hey everyone... This year has really gone by so fast, I can't believe it's September already! We've been touring quite a bit this year, all over the US, Canada, and Europe. Played some epic festys, including the Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival, Rockygrass, Winnipeg Folk Festival, Merlefest and the Four Corners Folk Festival to name just a few. We also played some really cool clubs, including a short tour with Crooked Still and Chatham County Line that brought us to the Birchmere, World Cafe, and The Bowery Ballroom in NYC. We also played a few times at the Grand Ole Opry, including a spot on the televised section back in April. There have been some great releases too, most notably our self titled record, "The Infamous Stringdusters" which was released June 10th on Sugar Hill Records. We have all sorts of cool merchandise at our online store, including t-shirts, various solo projects, posters, etc...Check out the store at http://artifactconcepts.com/shops/infamous/home.php, or just visit the band website at www.thestringdusters.com and click on 'store'. I started a 'Reverbnation' page, which is just an artist page where you can find songs, videos, and sign up on my email list so I can let you know when I may be in your area performing, teaching workshops, or when there is a new release so please check that out and sign my email list. Here's the link: http://www.reverbnation.com/andyfalco Well, we still have a bunch of shows to play in the last few months of this year, including some amazing festivals like the Bristol Rhythm and Roots Reunion, Hardly Strictly in San Francisco and IBMA right here in Nashville, Tennessee. At IBMA, we will be doing lots of radio and tv, including the Opry on Tuesday evening (9/30), The Fox Morning TV show and the WSM Bill Cody in the morning on Monday (9/29). Also, we will perform at the IBMA Awards Show on Thursday evening (10/2) where we are nominiated for 'Instrumental Group of the Year' and we'll be on the mainstage Friday afternoon. We are also really excited for Andy Hall--His latest solo release "the Sound of the Slide Guitar" is nominated for 'Instrumental Album of the Year'! If you don't have that record, go to our store at www.thestringdusters.com immediately--it's a 'must have'. I suppose that's it for now...Please check the schedule and come to a show soon...See you down the road! Thanks! Andy

Hey Everyone! It's been a very busy spring, and I've been having a blast! We just returned from a very successful 5 week tour of Europe, which included Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Czech Republic, and Slovakia. It was so much fun, but very busy...we played something like 26 shows in the 35 days we were gone. Pandolfi did a fantastic job documenting the trip in a 6 part mini documentary. I posted part 6 on my page here, but you can see all six on you tube by searching "infamous stringdusters Europe". Check them out when you get a chance.. The big news today is the official release of our new album, "The Infamous Stringdusters". If you want to order it from the internet, you can get it from our website store, where we also offer all kinds of Infamous Stringdusters stuff - cool t-shirts, posters, solo projects, etc. Here's a link to the store: http://artifactconcepts.com/shops/infamous/home.php We are very proud of this record, which was produced by Tim O'Brien and released on Sugar Hill Records. You can also get it on iTunes, Amazon, etc..etc...As always, all cd's are available at our live shows. Speaking of live shows, we are playing quite a few this year..Check my calendar or check the Infamous Stringdusters website (www.thestringdusters.com) for updated tour dates. Odds are, we will be playing somewhere near you, so come on out and check out the show! Well, I suppose that's all for now. If you are reading this today (June 10, 2008), we will be playing the Grand Ole Opry tonight at about 7:15pm Central. If you are not in range of 650 am (WSM), you can listen via the internet at www.wsmonline.com - just go there and click on the 'listen live' link. Thanks so much for all your support, and I'll see you somewhere down the road real soon! Andy Falco

Hey Everyone, Well, we've been working really hard all week laying down what will be the new Infamous Stringdusters album, and it's going great. Tim O'brien is producing, and it has been an honor and great learning experience to work with him. Eric Jascoviac (sp?) is an amazing engineer, and everthing has been going really smooth. Should be released sometime in June. We have a busy year ahead of us, and I am really looking forward to it. Please check my calendar and come to a show sometime soon! Andy Hall just released his new album on Sugar Hill Records, titled "The Sound of the Slide Guitar", on which I played a few tunes. It's a great album, so be sure to check it out...Also, Travis Book released a really great recording project with his side group, The Colorado Playboys--also a killer album, so be sure to check that out...You can find out more about those guys as well as the other 'Dusters through their myspace pages, and all of those guys are in my top friends.. I suppose that's it for now. Thanks so much for your support, and hope to see you down the road sometime soon!

Hey Everyone,
The flatpicking performance dvd that I taped back in February with Josh Williams and Chris Eldridge, titled 'Live at the Station Inn - Guitarmageddon' is now available. You can go to www.flatpick.com for more info, although I don't think they have it up there just yet (they will soon though). I have a few copies for sale here, which will be $30 including the shipping/packaging. You can just send me a message via myspace and I will give you an address to send a check. If you don't have my solo cd, 'Sentenced to Life With The Blues', you can have the CD and DVD for $45 which includes the shipping/packaging.
You may also pick up a copy at any live show.
Hope to see you soon!
Thank You!
Andy Falco
