Carney's Farewell to LA Show Update!

Carney is moving to New York at the end of this year and won't be moving back to LA until 2011 :-( But, before we leave we're playing one last show at the biggest venue we've ever headlined - The El Rey! This place is huge and we can not wait to fill it up with music for you! Feel free to bring anyone and everyone you've ever wanted to share our live show with because there is no way we'll sell out this enormo-dome of a venue ;-) Carney "Farewell to LA" Show The El Rey Theatre Saturday, November 28th (Thanksgiving Weekend) 8:00p.m. $15 ALL AGES Click here for tickets: http://bit.ly/4wKxrf You might be wondering why we're moving to NYC, but before I get to that I gotsta recap our summer for you! We opened up for Shooter Jennings, The Veronicas, Michael Frante and Spearhead, Jackie Greene, and Gov't Mule and each band was so fun to work with! Our touring also took us to some really sweet festivals including Byron Bay in Australia, 10,000 Lakes in Michigan, and Lolla-freakin'-palooza in Chicago which, yes, was insane :-) Basically, we got to make lots of mistakes in front of other audiences so we don't make any mistakes in front of our home crowd! Oh wait, we're actually probably gonna make some mistakes in front of you too….son of a! Well, we'll try our hardest not to…maybe… Anywho, we also found time to shoot our first music video for "Love Me Chase Me" and I'm trying to figure out how to express my excitement to you :-) In the meantime, I did some rough math, and it turns out that this video makes us look 237% cooler than we actually are - that's some serious geometric growth people, and it's all thanks to our lovely and talented director Timothy Garrett! Getting back to that whole CARNEY-is-moving-to-NYC thing, I unfortunately have been told to keep my lips sealed by our label, management, and booking agent :-( All I can tell you is that as a band we are REALLY excited for what the next year is going to bring and we'll be making LOTS of music together - like 8 days a week ;-) But, make no mistake, we are going to miss playing in LA more than anything because you guys have supported us since day one, and we definitely owe you more than 1 show per year. But, we're so excited that November 17th is creeping around the corner, because that's the day Interscope is releasing our debut album, "Mr. Green." So, while we may be gone for all of 2010, we FINALLY have some recordings that we can leave with you all while we're away :-) Which actually brings me to another exciting update ;-) That music video I was talking about is coming out sometime before October 20th... How The Sweepstakes Works

Participants should submit their answers to@CarneyST via the @mention function before 4:00PM PST each day. (NOTE: Contestants are allowed to submit one answer per day to @CarneyST. Through the week of August 10th The Official Carney Street Team will be giving away the chance for 5 lucky winners (plus one guest each) to attend Carney's Soundcheck at The Roxy on August 20th in Los Angeles. Contest winners will also receive a free signed copy of Carney's debut single "Love Me Chase Me", the CD also includes a bonus track entitled "Mr. Green"

Selection of Sweepstakes Winners

One contest winner will be chosen daily (5 total), beginning on August 10th and ending on August 14th. All winners will be chosen at random. Daily winners will be announced via @mention on The Carney Street Team's Twitter Account at 6:00 PM PST daily. Winners will be contacted by The Carney Street Team through Direct Message on Twitter and asked to provide the Carney Street Team Administration with their full name and email address in addition to their guest’s full name and email address.

Further instructions regarding their prizes will be emailed to them from The Official Carney Street Team's Email Account. Contest winners must RSVP, confirming or declining the contest prize within 12 hours of being selected. If no response is given within the aforementioned time frame or prize notification/email is returned as undeliverable, The Carney Street Team Administration reserves the right to award the contest prize to an alternate winner selected at random. Prizes

Five (5) spots on The Carney guest list permitting Grand Prize winners entry into Soundcheck Only at The Roxy (9009 W. Sunset Blvd. West Hollywood, CA 90069). Grand Prize winners are permitted to bring one (1) guest each to soundcheck, resulting in (10) spots total. Grand prize winners must provide both first and last name and email address of their guests to The Carney Street Team before Sunday August 16^th. Failure to provide the Carney Street Team with the required information will result in disqualification, the Carney Street Team at that time reserves the right to award the contest prize to an alternate winner selected at random. Hey Everyone! Brand new update on Carney's upcoming show at The Roxy from lead guitarist Zane! Enjoy! -Jenny & Kristen Official Carney ST Admin Goodness Gracious, what a couple of months it's been :-) We've gone from opening for the Veronicas, to playing at 10,000 Lakes/DFest, to headlining our own little club tour, to joining a production of Grease in Jamaica, to driving towards Chicago so we can finish things off at Lollapalooza - and all in a matter of about 3 months! OK kids, which one of these is different than the other...hint, it involves the Caribbean...hint, it is the whole Jamaica bit...this is why I'm not a magician anymore... It's been quite the summer and in some ways it's just getting started which is why I'm writing this little ditty ;-) It is my honor to officially announce that our next LA show will be held at The Roxy on August, 20th and is going to be sponsored by KROQ Locals Only! We're really excited about getting to play in Los Angeles after so many months on the road and we can't wait to see you all there!
