MAIN STAGE HEADLINERS:
-----------------------------------------------------------------
JOE DRISCOLL:
Creating waves on both sides of the Atlantic are the transcendental sounds of modern day one man band, Joe Driscoll. His revolutionary take on music is without boundaries. Effortlessly fusing hip-hop, reggae, soul, folk and roots rock to create a completely original and unique sound; an innovator not only for the genre defying music he creates, but for the groundbreaking way in which he performs it. A true renaissance man, Driscoll is a lone figure on stage and in the studio, yet is able to create the complete soundscape of a full band utilizing heavy vocal percussion, an array of instruments, a loop pedal, and a lot of imagination. On a seemingly never ending world tour, the venues and acts Joe has worked with are as diverse as the sounds he creates.
From coffee shops to theatres, bars to festivals, crowds are moved by his poignant lyrics, deep rhythms, personal storytelling and funky grooves. He has shared the stage with acts ranging from Gym Class Heroes to Regina Spektor, Coldcut to The Sugar Hill Gang at hundreds of venues and events in both the US and EUROPE.
With the release of the album ORIGIN MYTHS having gained critical acclaim, Radio One airplay, sell out release shows in NY and London, and receiving an INDY AWARD for BEST SOLO ACT, the appeal of this one man magician/musician is undeniable. The overwhelming response from audiences, critics, and industry insiders makes it clear that the future is now.

' Gangsta got an iron lung!!!!’ Cee Lo (Gnarls Barkley)

‘Joe is the true essence of hip hop music!’ Speech (Arrested Development)

PLANETMAN & THE INTERNATIONALZ:
"Planetman and the Internationalz prove conclusively that pure groove still has a place in the hearts and souls of man. Planet is a singer consumed with the passion of his art. He and his band live and breathe for live performance, and their communal spirit echoes throughout their songs – all of which call out in perfect harmony for equality, peace, love and understanding. This is a good-time band who will have any festival crowd up on its feet, shoes kicked off and toes dancing through the fresh green grass." VIRTUAL FESTIVALS.
East-London’s cult band and members of the Passing Clouds Collective, they formed in summer 2001 by freedom-fighter, singer, songwriter, guitarist – Planetman.
They come with a message to express and a mission to embark upon. Their mission? To promote love & unity amongst all, while blending elements of Reggae, Afro and Funk into their own distinctive style.

It is Planetman's personal love for crowd participation and general all-inclusiveness that instantly break the walls between the band and the people to create that tribal feel-good experience which always seem to take the crowd and the musicians to new levels of free expression, and love for life. Highly recommended spiritual sonic experience!

KING PORTER STOMP:
“King Porter Stomp blend ska, funk, afrobeat and hip hop to create a genuinely original, natural fusion of styles.” SOURCE MAGAZINE
With big horns, heavy bass and deeply politically and environmentally aware lyrics, King Porter Stomp have quickly established themselves as major players on the UK summer festival circuit. Since forming 2 years ago, the high energy eight piece have already rocked stages at Glastonbury, The Big Chill, The Secret Garden Party, The Big Green Gathering, Endorse It and Ireland’s Electric Picnic. Their debut album ‘Poison The Beat’ is continuing to get great reviews and airplay. The summer of 2009 will see the unveiling of their new outrageous horn lines, thumping beats and delicately crafted conscious rhymes.
The 8 dedicated members of King Porter Stomp were called to Brighton from very different backgrounds and musical persuasions and first played together in Autumn 2006. Since then they have been loyally refining their sound, preparing to unleash their contagious new universal grooves upon whoever will listen!

GIPSYDELICA:

Psychedelic Gipsy big sound crew led by Balkan guitar maestro Morski and his tight rhythm section!
This trio from different cultures catagorise themselves as “Gipsy nonsense!” and name their influences as:
‘balkan music:(horo, kochek, rachenitsa),psychedelic rock(zeppelin, hendrix, floyd),rockabilly(berry, holly, cochran)reggae(perry, tosh, marley),sufi(hazrat innayat khan, nusrat fateh ali khan),django reinhart, funk(brown, sly, prince),ivo papazov, teodossii spassov and before all:THE ONE who allow us to hear the music and be inspired... thanks’
They often play such events as Viva La Revolucion, and have gained themselves a faithful following of happy dancers.

--------------------------------------------------------------
THE UNDERCOVER HIPPY:
“When listening to The Undercover Hippy I could almost smell the festival camp fires burning. With a reggae style to his acoustic vibes and lyrical content that speaks volumes about the unbalanced nature of modern living, here lies a man who knows there are greater things to sing about than boy meets girl. Lets hope he gets a chance to wake up the sleeping hippies and turn them into happy activists.”
After a couple of years travelling and writing songs, followed by 2 years living in barcelona, Billy finally returned to Britain to do the festival circuit in 2007. In the spring of 2008 Billy was joined by James Pagella (Drums), Ben Blackmore (Bass), and the legendary Andreas Millns (Keys) and a hugely successful festival season followed. Since then Billy and the band have been gigging relentlessly.
The Undercover Hippy's first official single, "Money Money Money", will be coming out in Dec 2008. It is being released by german Label Agogo Records as a 7" vinyl with Snap back as the B Side.

STOPGOSIXTY:
StopGoSixty are Mark Batch (Keys), James Budden (Bass), David Collier (Guitar), Sam Drury (Vocals) and Sam Kenyon (Drums)."We met at school in the beautiful south west of England and started writing together for fun, we are still having plenty of it! We were minus a bass player for a while though, until James turned up... (some say he has magical powers?!) And so the band was formed, just like that.
We often find ourselves writing songs in beautiful places in a beautiful little car. When you live where we do, it's the best way. It's a little cramped, but worth every minute'
StopGoSixty play a mixture of Soul,Blues,Pop,Rock. Described as sounding like 'The Dave Matthews band giving Lilly Allen a stern telling off for not listening to enough BBKing.

HONEY WEASEL:
If you can imagine Lee Scratch Perry mixing The Bays covering The Chemical Brothers, this might give you an idea of what Honey Weasel sounds like. Or you could try visualizing Too Many DJs spinning The Prodigy with live additions by Miles Davis. But that would only get you halfway there. You’d need to add flamboyant outfits, live sample jams, and mash-ups of the most unlikely genres to really picture Honey Weasel, more multi-tempo dance music performers than mere disc jockeys.

Their signature sound lies in the fusion of unexpected combinations of styles: indie with hip-hop, break beat with reggae, drum and bass with metal. Most DJs stay within a narrow range of styles and beats, but the north London duo prefer to vary their sonic colours as much as possible, following the flow of the music rather than the tempo. And they do it on the fly, jamming live with a huge collection of samples. Every set is tailor-made. But you can count on one thing: they will make the walls vibrate and leave the foundations of the building – as the crowd’s musical preconceptions – slightly different.

The Honey Weasel sound is reflected in their name: organic, quick, sharp, furry, cute – and rare.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

HUNGRY MAN:
Hungry Man, aka Eon aka Hagop Matossian, is a DJ and producer from north London.

He began mixing tracks in the late 1990s after discovering London’s pirate radio scene, so unlike the city’s homogenous commercial mainstream. He began spinning Drumnbass but soon branched out into breakbeat, Hip-hop, funk, blues, techno, electro, indie and Middle Eastern folk music. Every track designed to be different, always intended to surprise.

But more than any other genre, dubstep – a London-bred fusion of grime, dub, reggae, hip-hop drum and bass and techno – strikes a chord with his philosophical outlook. Its worshipful focus on the bass register, slow beats, minimal structures and trippy elements make it one of the most physical modes of dance music. Intense, deep, and resonating, the experience feels literally like bass therapy, a low frequency massage for the body and mind.

so many religions in the world
but there is only one sun, one moon
one sky above everyone
one earth to walk upon
one life for each to live
one death awaits each one.

one god unites us all
no matter how big or small.

there are so many divisions in the world
yet one is the blood of man
one is the skin that covers us all
one body for each one of us
one head for every body
one heart in every chest
beats the rhythm of the one life.

there are so many illusions in the world
but the truth is one, like the moon or the sun
one is the problem we all face
one planet and one human race
one is the solution to our quest
for the one thing holding us back
is the overwhelming sound of ignorence
vibrating the one communal fear in the heart of us.

one is the first step of every journey
one is the first cry of every new born baby
one is the inside out of every structure
for every single thing stays itself
when divided or multiplied by one.

one suffering and one pain
one heart and one brain
one harmony and one love
one push and one shove.

everyone is one
thus everything is one
for the absolute one is made up of many ones
who are made up of even smaller ones
and so on until the ones are so small
we return to the abstract one.

to be one is to know one self.
to know the absolute one
is to know everyone.
to be one with everyone
is to love the absolute one

and be joyous
