Songwriter-Producer, Psyche of Sound is one of the hottest entertainers on the scene today. King Socrates of Legends Entertainment  joins Chart-Topping D’vybz, Queen Anastasia, Hans & the Hillbillies and a host of other artist from St Kitts & abroad at the 1st Annual Kittitian Wild @ Rocky’s Bar & Grill, Saturday June 27, 2009 12pm -6pm.
As the excitement continues to build so is the lineup.  Confirmations have already been secured by many artists and now King Socrates himself will also take the stage!  Yes, the legendary King will perform at Kittitian Wild and he promises to “Tear It Up!” literally, singing a couple of tracks that will be featured on his upcoming album “the Best of King Socrates” along with a few surprises.  “This is Kittitian Wild!” states King Socrates, “so be prepared for anything!”
King Socrates is regarded regionally as one of the best, if not the best Calypsonians in the federation. He is a songwriter, recording artiste, entertainer, and has won several Calypso King Competitions, " over fifteen" both locally and regionally. He is best known for his popular socio-political commentary, his double entendre and his witty calypsos.  King Socrates exhumes power when he enters onto the stage, his performances are entrancing and his voice captures your ears with its natural authority. Kittitian Wild Summer Jam will present a wide diversity of music genres featuring the sounds of dancehall, Soca, rock, hip hop, R&B, pop, jazz, and soul including performances from international headliners & established local acts in St Kitts.  Call them St Kitts Finest because these artists represent some of the hottest new emerging talent coming out of St Kitts!
 
Chevaughn Richards – St Kitts very own “Princess of R & B & Hip-Hop Soul” is a new up and coming singer/song writer with a sophisticated edgy style similar to the Ashanti’s & Mary J’s.  Hailing from Sandy Point, St. Kitts, West Indies, the beautiful Chevaughn brings a refreshing spin on “sexy” with the track she wrote called “Impress” feat-Simp.   Her sassy & yet strong intellectual lyrical content is synergistically complemented by intoxicating beats & the smooth lyrical style of Simp of Da Embassy Productions; a well known hip hop ensemble that also has significant success in St. Kitts and in the Caribbean region.  Chevaughn’s influences include Berlin, Bob Marley, U2, Sade, Diana King, Tina Turner, Toni Braxton and countless of other old school and modern artists.  Although she enjoys the more popular ‘Caribbean’ genres such as Dancehall and Soca, she refuses to limit herself as an artist and experiments with many different sounds.  Chevaughn is well on her way to making her mark on the music world.

"Young Swizz"(Producer/Artist) born and raised in St. Kitts, but you would think he was from “Do or Die –BedStuy” which by the way is his mantra.  Young Swizz’s lyrical flow ranks amongst the best.  He raps, he harmonizes- he’s equipped with an ever burning desire to do everything musically—and he does it well!  The Lights Out General aka S-Double is aimed at making his mark as the #1 rapper.  Being a man of few words, everything you need to know about this artist can be learned by simply listening to any of his tracks. He shoots from the hip leaving no question as to who he is, and what he’s all about”  Young Swizz is “real deal”.
 
Trevis “Young Swizz” Liburd is one of the founders of the Independent Record Label –Status Core Record Studios, LLC along with Jereth "J.P." Morton. Status Core is a conglomerate assortment of very talented artists/entertainers with different genres and backgrounds from St. Kitts, all equipped with a deep love for making music. Kaper Daun 3rd  Another up & coming rap artist who developed a love for music came at a very early age listening music artists like; Shabba Ranks, Chaka Demus n Pliers, Buju Banton, Terror Fabolous, Super cat, Ninja Man and local bands like Small Axe n Grand Masters just to name a few.  However in the mid 90's he was blessed with the exposure to Hip Hop and later developed the confidence to make a career of it after hearing an artist/producer named Shivah Frost ‘do his thing’.  This led him to believe that someone from S.K.B can make it big in Hip Hop.  The rest is history.  Check out Kaper Daun 3rd  at

Queen Anastasia
 
The beautiful & multi-talented Queen Anastasia from St. Kitts will grace the stage on June 27, 2009 for the 1st Annual Kittitian Wild.   Queen Anastasia represents the new generation of Calypsonian’s that offers an eclectic mix of Soca, R&B Soul.  Her hot new singles "Falling In Love and Man At Home" demonstrates that diversity, however, her love of the calypso art form and powerful stage presence are gifts handed down from her very accomplished father, calypso great King Socrates.  Anastasia entered her first singing competition at only twelve years of age and has worked steadily to build her career ever since. Queen Anastasia has competed locally, nationally and regionally—winning or placing in every competition with the added distinction of being “first” or “only female” in several of her triumphs. Though she currently holds three competitive titles she is proudest of being Sandy Point Easteramma Calypso Monarch as this is where both she and her father won their first crowns.  
Queen Anastasia’s titles to date are:

The much-anticipated album will be a collaborative work featuring her signature calypsos (written by her father) with R&B and Soca tracks written by the Queen herself. Queen Anastasia manages her singing career along with the duties that come with being a wife, mother and Senior Vice President at St. Kitts’ FeeltheVybes.com. She looks forward to the exciting challenge of joining the ranks of historic and contemporary So-Calypso and R&B greats on the world stage in the very near future!

D’Vybz Band, one of the hottest Soca bands in St Kitts will perform at Kittitian Wild @ Rocky’s Bar & Grill, Saturday June 27, 2009.  D’Vybz offers a unique blend of music that infuses Soca, hip hop and dance hall—creating an infectious sound that appeals to all nationalities and tastes.  Although it’s been said that the band is a re-energized, revitalized & updated version of the regionally renowned Nu-Vybes Band, they have certainly come into their own, dominating the West Indian music charts in UK & US  with hits songs from their debut album like “DJ Play,” “Turn it up” and “One Time To Many”.
 
The seven (7) member group of talented Kittitian musicians D’Vybz grew out of the vision of three of its members,  Steve “Steba” Dublin, Carl “Ozzy” Osbourne and Chad “Sucky Benjamin, who were former members of the regionally acclaimed Nu-Vybes Ban.  They ventured out and established this new Caribbean musical group with an emphasis on true musicianship, professionalism and management.  They later joined forces with the 2003 St. Kitts & Nevis Soca Monarch, Jacinth “Shakki” Smithen and talented performer Lynshel “Shakkal” Peets, (as Lead Vocalists); along with the energetic and youthful drummer, Emris “Jay” Forbes and young musical phenom Gavin Charles on 2nd Keyboard, Bass and Programming and essentially established the powerful musical force known as d’Vybz.
 
The band’s first release “Hello” was a massive carnival hit which held the # 1 spot in all the local radio stations top 20 carnival countdowns.  Their debut album produced by bandleader Steve Dublin along with Andrew Denny of Barbados, dominated the airwaves and cd’s literally flew off the shelves.  D’Vybz quickly rose to the top of the music scene in St Kitts-Nevis and have since made an indelible mark on St Kitts-Nevis and the Caribbean.  The band’s music style and approach to the business has changed the musical landscape for the better in St Kitts-Nevis.

KITTITIAN SUMMER JAM!
 
St Kitts /New York– Tuesday June 9, 2009, King Socrates of Legends Entertainment will launch the first ever “Kittitian Wild” Summer Jam, Saturday June 27, 2009  at ROCK'S BAR & GRILL @BIRD ROCK BEACH HOTEL, in St Kitts from 12pm – 6pm.  Kittitian Wild is slated to be the largest dance party designed to introduce the world to “Kittitian Culture with an Urban Twist!”  Partygoers will experience live entertainment featuring the colorful and lively display of St. Kitts pageantry while jamming to the sounds of popular Djs from St Kitts and abroad; including beach parties, booze cruises, bikini & dance contests, with special appearances made by the Carib Beer Girls & the Digicel Girls.
 
King Socrates CEO & Founder of Legends Entertainment came up with the concept of Kittitian Wild after posing the question “What would be the ultimate Kittitian experience?” to the hundreds of people that he meets each day that visit the island of St Kitts- hence Kittitian Wild was born. “Our objective is to enhance the overall experience for the hundreds of visitors who come to the island during the Music Festival by offering daytime events i.e. beach parties, booze cruise etc” while at the same time connecting with an audience typically underserved, and showcasing the pool of untapped talent in St Kitts,” states King Socrates.  King Socrates states that Kittitian Wild will not only attract newcomers to the island of St Kitts but a broader younger audience—both locally and international who will be more inclined to return to St Kitts year after year. “This event will be duplicated year after year”.  
 
Hundreds of attendees are expected to attend Kittitian Wild which includes celebrity judges and some of the hottest up-and-coming Soca, Hip Hop, Calypso & R & B, artists in the music industry and music underground today.  This event will be hosted by St Kitts very own Sweet Sista Sensia, Kendo & Spits DaDawn of the Boogie Down Bronx, NYC and Avril from ER RADIO.  DJ Yardy of St Kitts & Dj Get Right NY’s Problem Child of NYC will be on the wheels of steel; and performances will be by the legendary Calypsonian-King Socrates, Queen Anastasia, and a host of emerging artists from St Kitts; Hans & the Hillbillies, Young Swizz, Chevaughn ft Simp, & Kaper Daun 3rd.  From the USA the artists include Psyche of Sound who will be debuting his long awaited album “Identity Crisis”, R & B sensation Oshy and Rappa Sharp.  This event will be taped live for later broadcast.
