SOM proudly presents the new artwork for their digipak re-release of THE SWAN ROAD out on the 18th of January:

December 2, 2009 - Wednesday

DRUDKH's third album "The Swan Road" (2005) will be made available again by Season of Mist on next January 18th.

"The Swan Road" continues in the spirit of "Autumn Aurora" with the band's trademark Slavonic Pagan Metal sound, which embraces epic folk-influenced melodies and creates cinematic and luxuriant atmospheres charged with melancholy. On "The Swan Road" this sound is intensified and more blast beats are being added. Let DRUDKH draw you onto "The Swan Road" to discover freedom, self-determination and enlightenment cast into glorious musical shape!

DRUDKH are a true underground phenomenon. Due to the great cooperation with Season of Mist the Ukrainians have agreed to re-release their complete catalogue on this label, which already started with their debut “Forgotten Legends” (2003). Now DRUDKH’s much sought after second album “Autumn Aurora” (2004) is also made available again by Season of Mist with carefully restored and remastered sound. This masterwork also comes in beautiful digipak edition with new artwork. “Autumn Aurora” continues in the spirit of “Forgotten Legends” with the band’s trademark Slavonic Pagan Metal sound, which embraces epic folk-influenced melodies and creates cinematic and luxuriant atmospheres charged with melancholy. To this “Autumn Aurora” adds synthesizer and keyboards for the first time and has been quoted as the most atmospheric album of the Ukrainians. Lyrically DRUDKH’s creative figurehead Roman Saenko once more delves into nature mysticism, the passing of seasons, philosophy, Ukrainian mythology, legends and history – often inspired by the works of nineteenth and twentieth century Ukrainian poets.

What better season than autumn to re-release DRUDKH’s “Autumn Aurora”? Originally released in 2004, the Ukrainians Pagan metallers’ sophomore album is the one that established Slavonic folk atmospheres into DRUDKH’s music, taking the listener to the dark depths of ..Eastern Europe..’s ancient forests. The re-issue has been carefully remastered and will come in a digipack.

Release World: 16th of November 2009
