So I finally got around to uploading some new music to my page. I figure its been like a year, so might as well do it. Plus all the incesant pestering from my friends, family, and other assorted loved ones to put something new up on myspace inevetably got to me. Ok, I'll be honest... I really wanted to put some new stuff up and lets face it, the music I had up was good, but anybody who spends any time with me knows how far I have moved on from that stuff. So here it is.

Now, you might be wondering where all the lyrics are. In fact, some of the new stuff could hardly be classified as hip-hop. Well, in the past six months, I've probably written a whopping total of three verses. that's right, verses... not songs. Why you ask. Well, I don't know, my head is just not there I guess. I've always fancied myself more a producer/musician as opposed to solely an Emcee. I'm not Knocking Emcees. I count myself among their ranks, but right now, I'm just really focused on writing and recording music. With the Leftist/C.O.N.C.E.P.T. album finished and Propaganda's on the way, I've been working really hard on producing and engeneering all spring and summer and not so much on writing complete hip-hop songs for myself.

Anyway, I digress. I hope you like the new music. I've been dabbling in so many styles of music lately and this is just a small sampling.

What's up everybody,

This summmer seems to be the summer that is exploding with new releases from the hip-hop underground in NYC. Every weekend I find myself at a release party for a friend of mine. Its really amazing. Last week Core Rhythm dropeed his dope album, Nat Turnere Reloded and my good Friends and Mindspray compadres Brokendomer are officially dropping their album next week.

However there are two summer releases that really mean a lot to me, LEFTist C.O.N.C.E.P.T., Intervention and Propaganda's Propaganda Due. Both albums are extremely fresh. I produced all the tracks on the LeftCon album and produced half the tracks on Prop's ablum and recorded and mixed the whole thing.

The LeftCon album dropped this week and Prop's album should be out sometime in august. I recomend that everybody picks up these albums as well as all the other dope underground music dropping this summer. Go support Mindspray, 3rd Party, All the cats at Sin-sin, embedded records, Creature, Open Thouhgt, and any other oringinal and true, music you can find.

Man it felt great to hit the road with the rest of Mindspray last week.  It was a great experience spending all this time with these dudes and then rocking  shows in new cities.  Seeing people in florida and virginia just bug out to our sets was so rewarding.  I know I'm doing the right thing.  Music is everything and this past week really helped to solidify that for me.  Thanks to everyone in the crew, everyone who showed love and helped set everything up, and of course to all the fans.

I just listened to my man Domer's new cd and it blew my mind. As a producer Domer has adopted certain stylistic elements from some of todays best avante garde hip-hop and electronic producers, but has put them together in a way distinctly his own. His lyrics are strange enough without being too far out for their own good. All and all, its a dope cd and should be listened to by as many people as possible. Not only is it dope, but he managed to put it together in the time its taken me to almost finish one song. Homeboy puts in work. He's offering it for free...that's rigth y'all free. Check out his myspace site (link it through my friends) or go to www.brokendomer.com. Domer is my new hero/

As soon as the election ended I started thinking about the classic Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young song, "Ohio." They released that song in response to the four students who were murdered during protests at Kent University in Ohio during the Vietnam era. The son was so potent because they released almost imediately after the actual event. Although I don't have the same exposure that they had, I still wanted to record an release a song about how I felt abou the election. As a non christian American living in an urban center I was frightened to see how large a role christian morals played in this past election. Anywyay, all I want is for people to listen to this song and if you like it, please download it an pass it on to a friend. Even if you don't like my production or the overall sound of the song, please just listen (or read) the lyrics.
