Beginning their career as Xecutioner in 1984, Obituary remains one of the most influential and groundbreaking bands in the death metal genre, one which they helped to create. Hailing from the sunny state of Florida with a bevy of bands with a decidedly un-sunny take on metal Obituary along with Death, Morbid Angel, and Deicide, combined hyper-speed guitar riffing, complex arrangements and guttural screams to create a bleak and violent soundscape that defined a genre. Unlike their peers though, Obituary avoided the more common trappings of this style of music shunning the Satanic bent of the lyrics and the breakneck pace of the dual guitar assault. After 8 full-length albums and several smaller releases the band has reached the top! Without doubt…OBITUARY is a living legend!

Ave everyone!

Since so many of you have been writing lately asking when the hell we will start touring for our new masterpiece “Angelus Exuro pro Eternus”, I guess it’s about time to let you know what’s in the plans.

Our booking agency DRAGON PRODUCTIONS is currently hard at work on booking a massive European tour for us that will go under the name “A DECLARATION OF HATE - EUROPEAN TOUR 2010”. It seems like ages ago since we last toured Europe, so we are extremely excited for this tour. Europe is naturally the very first territory on the list to conquer, and then we’ll see where we head next. We will keep you updated of course!

We have still not made any final decision on which bands we will bring with us on this massive tour throughout Europe, but we are working on putting together really strong 3-4 band bill. The dawn of TRIDENT(swe) begun when Johan Norman (Soul Reaper, ex-Dissection), Tobias Sidegård(Necrophobic), Jonas Blom(Grief Of Emerald), Alexander Friberg(Necrophobic) and Ewo Solvelius started to sense a strong urge to create a new force: TRIDENT. The riffs, ideas and musical arrangements in their blackened minds had grown way to powerful to be thrown into oblivion.


TRIDENT just recorded it´s debut album called “World Destruction” which will see the light of day at the 22nd of march 2010 via REGAIN RECORDS.
