Help to protect some of the best trails in Moab, UT from oil drilling.  My fav is Amasa Back, I'd hate to lose this trail.

If anyone is wondering - my MySpace layout is of the Moab Rim trail, I've been here but hiked it - didn't ride this trail.  Rode other trails instead last time I was out there.

But after seeing this, next time I'll take this trail with my mountain bike.

A friend of mine is fostering Max - she states he's a great dog - very friendly and loving.  If you are searching for a new pet - please consider Max.  Her email is below - you can go ahead and email her if you would like to meet Max.

Dog lovers and future dog lovers:  

Max is a male, black and tan German shepherd mix who's 10 months old and about 50 lbs. He's friendly with everyone he meets, including kids, cats and dogs. He likes to give and get hugs. Max was given up by his owner because of a landlord who would not allow dogs. His time is up at the dog shelter so I'm fostering him until we can find him the right home. I'm going to have to keep him crated during the day while at work and at night so I'd love to find him his "forever home" as soon as possible.

The cost for adoption for all dogs at Canine Pet Rescue is $150. All of the animals receive a veterinary exam and are up-to-date on all vaccines (age appropriate), tested for heartworm, wormed for intestinal parasites and started on their flea, tick and heartworm preventative. Our animals are spayed/neutered.

Last night I had to do the hardest thing I've ever had to do in my life.  I had to put my sweet little golden boy to sleep.  What I thought was a cold, allergies or asthma turned out to be much worse than expected.  After x-rays and a echocardiogram - it turned out he either had heartworm or a form of cancer in the lungs.  Considering Holden was an indoor cat and was not in contact with any mosquitos - looks like my poor little boy was taken from me too early and completely unexpectedly.  Within a couple hours of our visit to the vet Holden went downhill drastically and the vet didn't believe he would make it through the night so we decided to let him rest peacefully.

Everyone out there hug your friends, family and pets and let them know how much you care about them.  As I found out the hard way last night you never know when your last moment with them will be.  Holden was a one of a kind cat and one of my best friends.  He will be greatly missed around my household.  Any one who knew him knows he was just a great little guy who loved to sit on your lap and be petted or get his ears washed by my dogs.  He always had to be with me in every room no matter what I was doing unless it was nap time. 

Just remember hug everyone you know and let them know you care.
