I have a new myspace account on www.myspace.com/absoluteshowbiz so please add me there.
I am currently taking entries for a small community christmas street party with various prizes from some of our local businesses.
To enter check out www.belmontcircle.co.uk and register your interest now. Only a few spots left. Please note this is not a paid gig, however a Fundraiser for St Lukes Hospice and we are are pulling together as a community to make this happen for the familes of Harrow and Belmont Circle. However a great opportunity to get great publicity by local newspapers, Local Magaines and local websites. We have the Mayor of Harrow swithing on the christmas lights on the night and the support for the last minute event has been fantastic.
Have a great christmas Friends and may this festive season bring you all much Joy.

God Bless,
 Mac

Nov 02, 2005

With the digital and music sectors becoming increasingly co-dependent, Netimperative is raising awareness among the digital industry as the official media sponsor of British Music Week.

The event, organised by Invincible Media, aims to champion British music by bringing the component parts of industry together through a series of seminars, workshops and showcase events that will take place on 11 and 12 November 2005 at Wembley Arena.

To promote the event, Netimperative is offering all attendees at its DMZ- Digital Marketing Zone Trade Show with tickets to British Music Week for the discount rate of £200.

Davina Lines, managing director of Netimperative, said: “The link between the digital and music sectors paves the way for future collaboration and integration of digital marketing techniques. It will in the long term lead to further investment in digital media by the music business”.

Following on from the inaugural event last year, the daylong DMZ event takes place on Wednesday 9 November  2005, at the Energy Clinic in East London, with five rooms divided into ‘elemental themes’.

The DMZ combines a series of free seminars and supplier presentations, with hands-on industry experience offered via hourly workshops.

Tickets, allocated free upon registration, include one-hour seminars, perfect pitches, workshops, refreshments and visiting the supplier booths.

What do artists like Arctic Monkeys, Gnarls Barkley and Jono Mcleery have in common?
They are all part of the new music business model being championed by the British Music Week. The ‘future of music is online and online is the future’ would be the theme of the 2nd annual British Music Week event.
On September the 8th & 9th of 2006, British Music Week will bring together hundreds of National and independent music companies and affiliated associations for the second edition of the annual UK Music Convention @ The Mermaid Conference Centre in London. Launched for the first time in 2005 at the Wembley Conference Centre. The conference will offer a unique opportunity to assess the current position of independent labels in today’s marketplace, educate artists on new marketing models through conferences, seminars & workshops. An impressive line-up of industry heavyweights are already confirmed to participate in the summit and will be exchanging ideas and thoughts on the independent sector, and the important part it plays in the industry as a whole.

British Music Week pays homage to the legacy of the UK music industry and is an event with a long term strategy to promote and safeguard the future of British Music.
This event aims to champion British music bringing the component parts of industry together through a series of seminars, workshops and showcase events that will take place on the 1st week of September 2006. There will be various related activities taking place across that week to help establish British Music Week as one of the UK’s music industry event of the year.
Some prominent figures speaking at this years event include: Ric Salmon, Vice President of Warner Music International, Gabriel Levy, Head of Music Europe of RealNewtorks, Andrew Wilding, Director of Music at Cable & Wireless, Beth Appleton, VP of V2 Music (UK), John Strickland, C.E.O of Tunetribe and many more. Besides the keynote sessions, the conferences and seminars will include several panels with a focus on alternative business models for independent labels and will examine the opportunities for increased revenue streams from new technology and merchandising.
Mayor of London, Ken Livingstone states “Music has been one of Britain’s greatest cultural and economic exports for fifty years. From The Rolling Stones to The Sex Pistols, acid house and grime, London has always been at the heart of it.
I am pleased that Invincible Media have launched this London event to champion British music and I wish it great success.”
For the 2nd year we would also be launching the 2nd World Online Music Awards with a nationwide search for the ‘Best Nationwide Act’ in Rock, classical, jazz, indie, dance and urban music genres.
