1. I put a new layout on my page and it doesn't show up!
Answer: Make sure you remove your old layout first.
Delete the layout code from your About Me.
If that doesn't work, read my OTHER BLOG HERE.
go to "customize profile"
click "No Theme" (if a message pops up - choose remove)
click "CSS"
click "clear CSS" button (if there is code in the box - if not, skip this step)
paste new 2.0 layout code in code box
click "publish"

2. My profile is too wide! Why is there a scrollbar at the bottom?
Answer: There are a few reasons this could happen to you. You have large images on your page and/or in comments. Videos and Slide Shows will stretch the left side.
The solution: Put videos and slide shows on the right side (About Me or Who I'd Like to Meet), use smaller images in your profile. Put long Surveys, and Quizes, etc in your bulletins and/or blogs.
For comments you can go to: edit profile > account settings > miscellaneous and UNCHECK the box that says "Allow comment images to stretch the comments section".

3. Why does my page take FOREVER to load?
Answer: This could be a few things: You have lots of images, videos, slideshows, quizes, etc on your page, MySpace servers are running slow with high traffic volumes, your internet service provider is running slow with high traffic volumes, your computer is running low on virtual memory.
The Solution:
For your page: Put smaller images on your page and limit the number of widgets to just a couple. (widgets = videos, slide shows, guest books, quizes, etc) Change them out regularly instead of displaying them all at the same time. Put quizes and surveys in your blogs or bulletins. It will help your page load time and give everyone a reason to keep coming back to your page to see what you will post next! :)
Servers: You can't do anything about MySpace servers or your internet service providers servers other than send them emails telling them to buy more servers.
For your computer: you may have too many programs running in the background or too many programs open at the same time, close the programs you aren't using.

If you got a layout code and parts of your old layout still show, you
most likely need to clear everything out of the Myspace editor that
could be blocking your layout code.

Now that Myspace 2.0 has come out, it's been difficult for people who
have 1.0 and don't want to upgrade. Where did the editor go? Well, it's
still there!

What you need to do is:
1.) Click "My Profile" from the PROFILE drop down menu. You will be viewing your own profile.
2.) Now you type &pe=1 at the end of the URL in the address bar when viewing your profile. This will bring the Myspace Editor up when you hit ENTER.
3.) Click "Start Over"
4.) Click "Lose Changes"
5.) Click "Continue Anyway"

You're Done!

First of all...thank you to everyone that sent me Happy Birthday wishes! It makes me happy to know yall were thinking of me!! :)

So, this year was wonderful! Mo is the greatest! He set up flights for my mom and aunt to come here and stay with our kids so he could take me to NYC for the weekend to celebrate my birthday!

I had the time of my life! It was my first time to see "the city that never sleeps". And you better believe that phrase is 100% true!! We flew in Fri night and back home Sunday morning. So I really had one full day to try to cram in as much as possible. And that I did!

Friday night we arrived. As soon as we landed and got our rental we picked up our friend in Brooklyn and went to eat at a Diner at about 1am. The food was sooo good! Sat. morning we got ready and had breakfast at the Deli on the corner right by my friends apartment in Brooklyn. (there are literally deli's on EVERY corner) Then, took the train (they all called it the train...I was fascinated to ride the SUBWAY for the first time) to Manhatten. We walked to the Staten Island Ferry where we took beautiful pix of Ms. Liberty and the city skyline. The rest of the day we spent walking EVERYWHERE and took sooo many pix! I shopped Canal street boutiques and those stands on the sidewalk. We went shopping at Macy's. AMAZING 8 floors! And an old wooden escalader! Walked around Times Square. We had a hotel for Sat night that we could see the Empire State building from our window. We had hot dogs from one of the many hot dog venders. Went to Little Italy and had a 3 course meal at La Mela Ristorante. We also got to experiance a huge multi level NY night club. It was very very crowded and busy! Too much for us! We got there at 1am. My friend said most of the people there were probably tourists since they were there so early! I was like EARLY?! wow. We left at like 2:30am. According to my friend, it doesn't really get busy until 5am! And I thought it was busy enough! It was like sardines in there trying to squeeze through the crowd holding hands so we don't get separated! Crazy lifestyle! I'm glad I got to see it...but it was too many people for me. I was all worried about icky germs. haha!

I love New York! And now I can't wait to go back and see more of it! So many more things to see and do in that city! I'm not sure I'll ever get to do everything I want to, but I'm so lucky to just go this once and have a wonderful birthday weekend with my bestest friend in the world...my hubby! :) Big thank you to our good friend Annie for showing me New York through your eyes and sharing part of your life with me! I'll never forget it!

So everyone should have noticed those annoying MSPlinks.com thing that MySpace automatically changes any link you post on your profile to by now.

So, I found this cool script to decode the links so you know what you are clicking on! The script only works with FireFox browser though. You should use firefox anyway because it's faster and safer!

You know what else you can do with FireFox? You can use the MySpace toolbar! That thing rox cuz it lets you view pics, add, message, comment, etc. all without having to scroll around (**even if they are hidden!).
