The folks at Galleywinter.com always make me feel good about the music scene  in Texas, and this month in particular, I couldn’t agree more with “Brad’s Corner”:  For the past few years, November has found me using this space to talk about musical things I am thankful for or for artists to share the artist they are most thankful for. This year, I was inspired to go to a more broad place with my gratitude. I am thankful for music. Period.

Amen!  To read the whole article, go to www.Galleywinter.com.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Rusty Wier’s friends and family.  Rusty passed away last Friday, due to complications of cancer.  He was 65.  I’m sure Rusty’s dancing while singing with the angels,  “Don’t it Make You Wanna Dance.”  God bless you, sir.

We are currently working on a tribute article in the next issue of Best in Texas Music Magazine with thoughts from many of his friends and co-horts in the biz.

Speaking of Best in Texas, the October issue is chock full of cool articles and interviews on acts such as Cross Canadian Ragweed, Randy Rogers Band, Wade Bowen, Whiskey Myers, Josh Ward Band, Ryan Bingham and the other stars of the Houston ZiegenBock Festival at Sam Houston Race Park October 24.

Ok so last week I had a dream that the guys of Cooder Graw got back together for a reunion tour!  I have no idea where this came from but when I posted it on my FB page, people went nuts responding saying they wanted it to happen too!

So it got me to thinking, which now disbanded group would you like to see get back together for a reunion tour?  Email me Katie@shanemedia.com.
