The album has come back from the press so I reckon we'll have the odd copy to show off at the gig at the Prince Albert, Williamstown on the 5th Aug '07.
A new website has been registered but won't be functional till the album comes out....it never rains, it pours (as Mrs Wainwright would have said).
We are planning a Melbourne launch at the Noise Bar, of channel 31 Noise TV fame with the fabulous "Conch" (www.theconch.org), 10 piece Ska, Reggae, Latin, funk, hip-hop, swing(The Conch is short for Conciousness. Don't just get angry, get funky! It's not our revolution if we can't dance to it!) These guys rock and it's our party so we'll play then have fun while the Conch tweak our brains and shake our boodies.
We're heading to Adelaide in Sept to launch with our mates at the Grace Emily Hotel (www.myspace.com/graceemilyhotel) including Rob eyers (Sweet Baby James) and Susie Skinner (Problem Pony) guesting on Mandoline. Then it's off to Sydney to play at the Harp (TBC)(www.theharp.com.au) soon after.
Croxton Records will once again be our valiant Label supporting Mrs Wainwright into this new adventure. By the way, they've started a mailing list for lively punters wanting the info on all Croxtons artists...and they're a heady blend....Mick Thomas and the Sure Thing, Dan Warner, Marcel Borrack, Nick Barker, Young Modern, The Underminers, The Remains, Sarah Carroll, The Dunaways, The Gourds.....and yours truely Mrs Wainwright.
