Today Kalle took his last breath. We went to the veterinary and his liver and white blood corpuscles were at such bad numbers that we had to make the choice to let him go. His spirit was totally broken today, he could barely walk and his eyes said "help plz".
The vet gave him a sedative so he fell asleep on the floor with me lying next to him. I petted him and whispered into his ear as he slowly fell asleep. Then came the final injection and he was gone in seconds. He was so beautiful, all calm and peaceful. I hugged and kissed him through it all and so did Niclas.
I'm completely heartbroken. I have never, ever cried and screamed so much. ever. My heart feel like it's been shattered into 1000 pieces. I never knew a person could feel this much sorrow. I've been very sad before, but nothing compares to this. nothing. I don't know how I'll survive this.
I have to, though, cause Fonzie is still here and he needs me and Niclas too. Gotta figure out how to live through this. damn.

I know I have talked about this movie before but I gotta push some more. The Dead Girl is one of the best movies I have ever seen and all the actors (such as Toni Collette, Giovanni Ribisi, Brittany Murphy, James Franco, Marcia Gay Harden and Rose Byrne) are fantastic! Even my hubby Niclas, who otherwise only watches films such as the Matrix, Hellboy, Hulk and other crappy movies, thought this movie was really good.
The movie opens with the body of a dead girl (Murpy). However, the focus of the film is not on finding out how the girl died. Instead it examines how lives are irrevocably changed by her death.
Presented through five different stories, the movie offers an unflinching look at how the murder affects the lives of the various female characters, whose relation to the dead girl may not be obvious from the beginning.
As the stories draw you in (helped tremendously by the excellent cast), you can’t help but be affected by the bleakness that dominates their lives and their struggle to break free from it.

The movie is set in five segments, The stranger, The sister, The Wife, The mother and The dead girl and all five stories tell a tale about the women in the particular segment and their relation to the dead girl.

A review for those who don't wanna know details, but wanna know what it's about (NO spoilers!!!):
In the first story, ‘The Stranger’, Arden (Collette) discovers the body of the murdered girl and overnight becomes a local celebrity. However, she is berated and scorned by her abusive but ailing mother who calls her ugly and despises the attention she is getting. Arden meets a stranger (Ribisi) and is attracted to him despite his unhealthy obsession with serial killers. Eventually, she decides to elope with him.

‘The Sister’ revolves around a forensic undergraduate who examines the dead girl’s body and is convinced that it is her sister who has been missing for 15 years. Her mom (Steenbergen), however, refuses to give up on her missing daughter, thus preventing her from having closure and moving on. She becomes dependent on anti-depressants and shuns the interest of a young colleague (Franco). Her mom does not see that she is on the verge of losing her remaining living daughter in a bid to find her dead one.

Mary Beth Hurt is ‘The Wife’ whose relationship with her husband, Carl, is on the verge of a breakdown. He often leaves the house for long periods of time and she is left to pick up his mess. One day, she finds incriminating evidence that could link her husband to the dead girl’s murder.

In ‘The Mother’, we meet the dead girl’s mom, Melora (Hayden). It has been years since her daughter, Krista, ran away from home, where she became a drug addict and prostitute. To understand her daughter’s life, Melora meets Krista’s roommate, Rosetta (Washington), and eventually learns out about her illegitimate three-year-old granddaughter, Ashley. Melora takes her granddaughter in and promises to love her as she did Krista.

Finally, we meet ‘The Dead Girl’ who turns out to be the most buoyant and ‘alive’ character in the film despite the oppressive circumstances. We follow Krista’s final hours as she tries to explain to Rosetta how much she loves her and as she finds her way across town to surprise her daughter who is turning three years old the next day. Only, she'll never get there...


*A longer review with MAJOR SPOILER ALERT!!!*
The stranger is played by Toni Collette, who is the woman that finds the dead girl (Krista, played by Brittany Murphy) behind her house. She gets asked out by Rady (Giovanni Ribisi) and the two explore their darkest fantasies - his being his fascination for serial killers, hers is being dominated and pretending to be the dead girl. Her actions and her way of living has much to do with her relationship with her mother, a mean old woman who you'll feel nothing but hatered towards.
The sister, Leah, is played by Rose Byrne, a young woman who wants nothing more than for her family to move on from their dark past. When the dead girls body is brought in to the town morgue it's Leah who instantly believes that the body is that of her sister, who has been gone for 15 years. These believes seems like a desperate attempt for her to move on and finally finding out what happened to her kidnapped sister. This story is so sad and you can really feel Leahs pain and her longing for a "normal" life and a "normal" family. She really wants closure.
The third segment, The wife, gives us the first look at the actual killer. He doesn't give his wife any attention and she's so angry at him for it. She, accidentally, discovers all these torn pieces of clothing, women's underwear and pieces of hair in a storage-unit next to her home. She immediatly knows that her husband is the one who has taken the lives of several dead girls, and most recently Krista (Murphy's character). This part has more to it than meets the eye and it leaves you wondering why the wife acts like she does. It's a very irritating segment and you want nothing more than to scream at the wife and shake her and force her to tell what she knows. The segment shows how she's deciding to live life as she knows it and continue to pretend her husband "only" hooks up with prostitutes, and nothing worse.
The mother is the fourth segement and she is played by Marcia Gay Harden. She drives down to LA from the state of Washington to see what her dead daughter left behind. The mother meets Kristas room mate, Rosetta (Keri Washington), who was the last person to talk - I mean REALLT talk - to Krista before she dies. She tells the mother all the horrible things herself, and Krista, have been through and that Krista was sexually assaulted by her step dad and therfore ran away several years ago. When Rosetta realizes she's talking to Kristas mom and not some random woman she softens up a bit - but just a little bit. She drives with the mother to see Kristas 3-year old daughter and the mother ends up taking the 3-year old back to Washington. This segment holds a lot of pain, both from the mother, Rosetta and the ghost of Krista.
Finally, the last segment shows Kristas last hours alive. This is my favourite part of the movie. Krista is going to Norwalk for her daughters birthday but has no idea how to get there. Her "man" (played by Josh Brolin) promises to drive her there but changes his mind at the last second. Krista gets very mad and goes back to her apartement, where she finds Rosetta totally beaten up. Here it is obvious that the two are an idom and in love with eachother (Krista more than Rosetta). Krista tries to give Rosetta a neclklace (which plays a part in segment one, where Toni Collette takes the necklace from the corpse that she finds) but she won't accept it. Krista drives away on a borrowed bike, heading towards Norwalk - and stops by a guy who've beaten Rosetta - just to trash his car and tell him not to touch her again. She drives away all screaming and excited. Just moments later the bike runs out of gas and Krista calls Rosetta to tell her she loves her, and begs her to say it back. Unfortunatley Rosetta doesn't and Krista hangs up the phone all teary and sad. She's still trying to get to Norwalk and after several attempts to get a ride she gets into a car that's driven by a man - the killer. The last minute of the film shows Krista talking about her daughter and how happy she is to finally going to see her. In this last minute, you can feel - and see - that Krista sense that something's wrong and she asks the man if there's an open FedEx anywhere near. He says no and the rest of the film shows Krista continuing to talk, now with more hesitation. The sound tunes out and you can only see Kristas mouth move when she looks over at the driver with big, scared eyes. It's clear what happens afterwards, but just this final scene - and the song " You are my sunshine", that begins to play when the credits starts to role, gives you these chills and you feel so bad for Krista.
Over all a very eerie and sad story, that leaves you with thoughts for days - at least it did for me. All the actors are doing an extremely good job and the characters seem to fit them perfectly. The two most heartbreaking parts of the movie - for me - is first when Leah finds out it's NOT her dead sister they have found, and she falls to pieces yet again. The other part is Kristas last minute alive, her looking at the killer and sensing something is wrong - but she can't do anything about it.

I recommend this movie to everybody who likes a true heart-aching story with some really good acting. The movie will leave you wanting more and it's a good movie for analyzing and your own conclusions. A total 10/10! It's insane that this flick didn't make it to the big screen. WATCH IT NOW!!!

Watching Oprah and can't believe my ears (or eyes). They are talking about something called "Proposition 2", which means that caged animals (the ones that later will feed greedy peoples fat asses) will have the opportunity to turn around in their cages. OMG, yayy for humanity. Are you REALLY gonna be that nice? That so big of you ppl. Will a pig have the opportunity to actually LAY DOWN? That is too much. (In case it doesn't show...I'm being sarcastic). As ya'll probably know, I care deeply for animals and can't stand the torture that's going on all over the world.

One bitch (who looks like she's have had a lil too much pork lately) and one stupid f**ker on the show is actually voting against this proposition cause "the hens/calves/pigs are fine as they are" and "they don't want animals to suffer but she doesn't want humans to suffer either". How the f**k are ppl suffering from pigs and hens being able to move around and laying down? It's not a basic human right to have eggs or cheap meat. IT JUST ISN'T. And if ppl don't understand that they should blow their own brains out (if they even have a brain).

Also, there's the argument over money. Everything's about money. "Oh, if my hens, cows, pigs would be abe to move around it would be too expensive for us. We'll go out of business". Well, who the hell gives a shit? Do something else. Take another job. Or maybe we can lock THEM in a cage the size of a Mississippi-womans ass and see how fun it is not to be able to turn around or lay down. This should not even be a thing to argue over. It should be every animals right to be able to move around and lay down.

I'm so happy I'm not contributing to this disgusting industry. I'm proud of my hubby not contributing. I'm proud of all the vegans and vegetarians out there and the ppl who care about animals and not only themselves. <3

I can't believe two of the most beautiful women in Hollywood (Jennifer Connelly and Rose Byrne) would do this to themselves. dammit, do they ever eat? They just added +10 years on their faces (all gaunt) and their bodies are non-existant. It's so sad.

I feel sick. I couldn't stop the tears from coming when I read this. Please take a minute to read what I've written here. It's important! I know it's easier to look the other way, but turning your head won't help at all.

I just read in the new PETA-magazine how pigs are treated in the US (and probably in every country in the world). This is some things that I read in the article:

"supervisors and workers beat pigs with metal bars, kick sows, jab clothespins into mother pigs' eyes and faces and spray paint directly into pigs snouts. One worked claimed that the pigs deserved to be hurt and that the more the pigs suffered, the more he liked it"

"Another worker said that he got a lot of aggressions out on the pigs and suggested that they be shot in the genitals with a captive bolt gun"

"crippled sows got kicked and got electric-shocks cause the workers wanted them to stand up. A supervisor rammed a crane into a pigs vagina and strucked her on the back approx. 17 times. The supervisor also boasted that he showed a metal gate rod up pigs anuses. PETA caught him repeatedly kicking a downed sow in the face and genitals. She gave birth the next day and was probably in labor during the abuse."

"A supervisor kicked a young pig in the face, abdomen and genitals to make her move and said "You gotta beat on the bitch. Make her cry".

"More than 100 pregnant pigs were left without water or food for 5 days and downed pigs were left to languish for for weeks without veterinary care or an end to their suffering"

"Supervisors urinated repeatedly near crated pigs. Urine rolled into the crates near the animals food and where they laid their heads."

All people who eats ham, hot dogs, sausages, bacon or anything else that comes from pigs are supporting this abuse. This is reality. If you care about animals, you don't support this and you don't eat animals.

I am ashamed (even though I don't eat anything that comes from a living, breathing creature and never will) to be human. I'm ashamed to be part of this sick, disgusting race. Please, if you don't wanna support animal cruelty, stop eating meat. You only have one life and please consider the welfare of others, especially those who can't speak for themselves. It's the least you can do.
