Random late night thought

This thought has been on my mind all day and it's keeping me up right now. "I wonder..........who really loves ME" I believe everyone ask that question to themselves before. For me: It happens quite often. Maybe I need to re-evaluate some things. Maybe it's my brain keeping me in check so that I wont be fooled, get taken avantaged of, or preventing me from putting myself out there too much.

--Guys may be flirting around all day but before they go to sleep, they always think about the girl they truly care about.

--Before they call, guys try to plan out a little about what they're
gonna say so there aren't awkward pauses, but once he's on the phone he
forgets it all and makes it up as he goes.

--Guys go crazy over a girl's smile.

--Guys hate it when you talk about your ex-boyfriend or ex love-interest. Unless they're going for the
let-her-complain-to-you-and-then-have-her-realize-how-wonderful-and-nice-you-are method.

--A guy who likes you wants to be the only guy you talk to.

--Boyfriends need to be reassured often that they're still loved.

--Don't talk about your guy friends to your boyfriend.

--Guys can get jealous easily.

--Guys are more emotional than they'd like people to think.

--Giving a guy a hanging message like "You know
what?!..uh...nevermind.." would make him jump to a conclusion that is
far from what you are thinking.

--Guys are good flatterers when courting but they usually stammer when they talk to a girl they really like.

--Girls are guys' weaknesses.

--Guys are very open about themselves.

--If a guy tells you about his problems, he just needs someone to listen to him. You don't need to give advice.

--Don't be a snob. Guys can be intimidated and give up easily.

--Guys love neck rubs and if he lets you keep doing it ..it means that he really likes you or his neck really hurts...

--When a guy sacrifices his sleep and health just to
be with you, he really likes you and wants to be with you as much as
possible.

I'm feeling good.

Today at work we had a focus group about what things we, as a company, can improve on. My manager said something that made my day better. He said that we, as a company, can only do what we can control like provide great customer service and making sure that we can get them to shop with us again.

Last night me and Marie had a argument. She felt like that our relationship is going at a snail's pace. I vehemently explained to here that I'm not being selfish and is trying to do things for the future. After the conversation, I was upset and my energy was drained. Hearing what my manager said today opened my eyes and brought my spirit up. The thing was that I really didn't want to go to the meeting, but now I believe that if I hadn't........I would probably still feel angry and drained. I can only be Darius. I can continue trying to be respectful, monogamous, kind, etc. in the relationship. If she still feels like things are going at a snail's pace, all she has to do is tell me, walk out the door and don't come back. I don't want to be with someone that will have resentment towards me because things are going slow.

No matter if I still will be in a relationship or not, I will be winner. The reason is that I know who I am and what I am worth and no one can change that. If she cant appreciate that, then it's time to move on.

The Black First Family

It still hasn't hit me yet. There will be a First Family of color in the White House. Just to see a black man and woman that are successful and being the most powerful people in the free world is incredible. They should be the example that young black men and women should look up to. Sure some of us may never go to a prestigious university or have high paying jobs, but they love each other and take care of their children. They try to provide the best for their children and the fact that Barack is a active and loving father to them should inspire the young men to be in their children's lives. I never had a father in my life and seeing Barack being a great dad to his girls has instilled in me that I'll try to be the best dad I can be to my future children.I really hope that black people realize that we can do great things when we get up, roll up our sleeves, and DO WORK!

Tomorrow will be a day of history. I never thought this day will come this soon, but it will be reality at noon January 20th. Barack will be the 44th president of the United States. Maybe this will influence people of all colors, ethnicity, income brackets to strive to be great men and women. I'm very excited. Obama's administration will make mistakes along the way, just as every other president before him. I believe people will be inspired to do more for their country. The haters and racists should chill and support their president like people supported Bush. January 20th 2009 will be a great day for ALL AMERICANS.
