Jigsaw Soul's music video, 'Cockroach Hotel', directed by Chris Piazza was selected from over 200 entries as a finalist in the NYC 1st Music Video Film Festival hosted by Silversound. The festival finalists will be shown and voted on at Public Assembly (brooklyn, ny) on Aug 12th.

, interactive art installations, confetti cannons and elegant damsels, inviting you to pull out your deepest mischief and break down your conservative speech filters to celebrate with him and his creative followers. To sway you to his world he's tricked V2 into an hour of free flowing vodka drinks and convinced the multimedia band Jigsaw Soul (http://jigsawsoul.com/index.shtml) to perform an eclectic set of well crafted songs featuring live video editing and enchanting female dancers. Opening will be the video entrenched, Brooklyn trouble makers, Mon.Key.Pod (http://www.myspace.com/monkeypodduo) He will be silently auctioning off original art, prints, clothes and hoofed massages. Search corners for secret social games and women to gently decorate your delicate skin. Immediately after the performance, the clever mob will change into will-o'-the-wisp's and begin wandering the streets, following the lightly illuminated subversives, moving projections, descending on unsuspecting watering establishments and devious dens, speaking with buttered tongues to the men and maidens of the village.

So we finally took the time to organize all of the music we have recorded throughout the last 13 years into a catalog. Much of it has already been used in short and feature length documentaries and films, but we need to get more of it out there. Jigsaw Soul held an audition for two new dancer/performer/collaborators on June 15th. We are excited to welcome Sarah Dahnke and Carson Reiners!!


Sarah Dahnke comes from Bartlesville, Oklahoma, where she began performing ballet, jazz and tap at the age of 3. She continued her dance education at Oklahoma City University, where she graduated with a bachelors in dance performance. She comes to New York by way of Chicago, where she was a member of Chicago Tap Theatre and Suite 132 Dance Company and shared the stage with many live musicians, including the entire cast of the Polyphonic Spree.


Originally from New Jersey Carson Reiners has studied and worked internationally in the field of dance. She was a recipient of the fellowship program at Alvin Ailey and scholarship at Ballet Hispanico. She studied for two years at the Rotterdam Dans Academy (CODARTS) in Holland and completed her Bachelors of Dance at the Anton Bruckner Universitat in Austria while being a company member of XIDA under the direction of Esther Linley. She has performed in Holland, Germany, Austria, Spain the US and has worked and performed work by choreographers such as Amy Raymond, Thersea Ruggeri, Johannes Randolf, Jolea Maffei, Catherine Guiren, Hannes Donuabuar, Milton Myers, Val Suarez and Jana Hicks.
