I custom tailor the lesson material to your individual goals and abilities.I really try to customize my teaching to a student & there unique learning style. MOST IMPORTANTLY, I try to make the lessons ENJOYABLE and beneficial for each student. If you are basically just trying to learn drums and have fun, then the lessons are taught accordingly; whereas if you have a serious playing agenda, then the lessons are more fast paced and organized in this way.
Typical Lesson Content:
• Beats/grooves, concepts, and fills from various drumset and percussion styles (i.e. rock, funk, Latin, hip-hop, swing, electronica, fusion, reggae, orchestral, rudimental, world, metal, etc.). I try to emphasize how styles interrelate to each other, and how you can cross over concepts and ideas from one style to another.
• Rudiments and technique
• Playing along to music by ear..
• Improvising and soloing
• Hand and foot independence/interdependence
• Getting comfortable and creative with your playing
• How to practice productively
• Hand drum techniques and rhythms
• How to lock in your playing with the rest of the band or track
Rates:
I am currently offering lessons at a DISCOUNTED PRICE!! Students typically take a weekly lesson, and pay for lessons a month at a time.
