"After Henry Butler left the stage, local boy Aaron Davis brought his acoustic guitar out front and played a few songs. A little folksy, a little bluesy, with some pretty cool slide riffs and a harmonica worked in, Aaron Davis created a pleasant interlude until Kak King came to the stage." full article: http://www.gratefulweb.net/gwebNews/gwebDesign/musicNews.asp?articleid=1523&zoneid=3

"1937" was runner up at the festival singer-songwriter showcase. Lost by one point to a song about chewing tobacco...damn.

I've been working my calluses to the bone to finish up my solo studio album and finally starting to see the light at the end of the studio. There are lots of great players on the album and looks like 12 tunes will make the cut. I'm shooting for a mid-October release and will also be releasing some songs for free here on Myspace, so keep your eyes peeled.
Yesterday I got a last minute call from the producer of Jackson Hole Music Fest (featuring Wilco, Black Crowes, Avett Brothers, Medeski, Ben Harper, Robert Randolph, on and on), and will be performing a 15-minute set between Henry Butler and Kaki King. I go on at noon. Yeehoo!
See ya round...
