Happy New Year everybody! Big thanks to everyone who came out last night, and extra big thanks to Colin Johnson and Chris Rose from Vampire Hands for playing with us last night. This was the last bar show for Thunder in the Valley, unless we get a big money reunion offer (this will never happen). If this bums you out, hopefully we can make you feel better by telling you that we're starting a new band that will include Matt, Jake and Nick in the lineup called Leisure Birds. You can find the myspace page in our top friends, or you can go to myspace.com/leisurebirds. No music up yet, and we don't totally know what it's going to sound like, but we will still be doing a few of the Thunder songs that Jake and Nick sing, at least while we're starting out. We'll also be doing some live theater performances in Milwaukee and Minneapolis in early spring for a production called "The Ballad of Josef K" based on "The Trial" by Franz Kafka. This will feature all new music, an expanded lineup, and puppets. We'll have more updates on this as they arise. And that will be that.

Hey friends! We got two new songs up on the page from our upcoming 5 song EP "Where Oh Where Oh Where" recorded in Philadelphia with the soon to be legendary Bill Moriarty (Dr. Dog, Man Man). Only 5 songs? Never fear! We got 10 more up our sleeves and on their way. To paraphrase Benjamin Franklin "I hope you like the new songs we uploaded to our itunes, converted from mpeg4s to mp3s, and then uploaded on to our myspace page!"
Thanks, TITV

Hey folks, This Friday we leave to reord in Philadelphia for two weeks. We're very excited to be working with Bill Moriarty (Dr. Dog, the upcoming Man Man record). We are also about to start booking our fall tour with our favorite band in the twin cities, Vampire Hands, and are looking for any and all help throughout the country. We're planning to do the entire U.S. of A. so if you know of good venues or good bands to get in contact with or you are a good venue or a good band, all the help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Lots of stuff in the works right now.
We're getting ready to record in early July. We have somewhere in the neighborhood of twenty new songs. Some of which you may have heard, some we're still figuring out what they're supposed to do, and some we're saving for after the record comes out. Then it will be a matter of figuring out which ones will make it to the album.
We're also currently in the early stages of scoring a play that we will also be performing the music to. That's a ways off though. We'll talk about that another time.
Finally, on the sadder side of things, Bill has recently told us he will be leaving us soon for the Bay area. We're in the process of talking to a few drummers to fill his pidgeon toed shoes.

Hey, everyone Our record that we started at the end of March of '05 is finally coming out at the end of April. It will be out on Heart of a Champion, the same label that will be putting out Mike Gunther's utterly knock-your-dick-in-the-dirt-kickass record at the end of March. It's got the usual line up, plus some horns, lap steel, and a crazy saw player. The release show will be at the Turf Club on April 28th.
