Quest for the Bounty is a seven day (June 4-13, 2009) treasure hunt fundraiser benefitting Easter Seals' Megan House.  The hunt kicks off with a BBQ dinner at River Pointe Golf Club with entertainment by the Faith Jackson Band.  The hunt concludes with a concert at The Fish Camp.

Flint Riverquarium offers two sessions of summer camp. Birds of a Feather, the first session, begins June 1 and ends June 5, 2009. At this session, day campers learn what makes a bird a bird and enjoy "egg-ceptional" nature activities. The second session, River Rats, begins June 8 and ends June 12, 2009. During River Rats, campers learn about Georgia's longest river, Flint River, and explore the natural environment of the Flint. Albany Museum of Art is offering three sessions of summer art classes. Museum Safari, the first session, begins June 1 and ends June 5, 2009. In Museum Safari, day campers explore wildlife and animal art, then create their own animal kingdom masterpieces in a variety of media. Amazing Art Race, the second session, begins June 8 and ends June 12. In this session day campers will make art based on art traditions from famous cities and sites around the world. Campers' masterpieces will use a variety of media. Imagination Station, the third session, begins June 15 and ends June 19. In this session day campers will create paintings, drawings, and sculpture based on imaginary people, places and things. Registration Fee per session: $165.00-Full Day; $85-Half Day. The Chehaw Swamp Stomp Summer Camp runs from June 1 to July 31 and features various classes: Be an Animal Keeper Camp runs June 1-July 31. At this camp, get to know the animals up close and personal. Meet the rhino. Prepare dinner for lemurs. Watch reptiles eat. Be a canoe captain. Spend the night with the animals. Up the Creek Camp runs June 1-5. At this camp, discover Muckalee Creek, the heart f an ecosystem that is located in Chehaw Park's backyard. Learn to safely canoe and navigate the creek. See the animals who live in the area and learn how to help them servive. Heroes & Herons Camp runs June 8-12. At this camp, learn what makes animals superheroes (i.e. Batman, Spiderman, Wolverine) and why superheroes want their powers. Pirates of the Muckalee runs June 15-19. At this camp, join in the fun of finding booty on the Muckalee Creek. The Up the Creek class is pre-requisite for this camp.
