Just a reminder - House of Shields does not get a whole lot of foot traffic (besides our faithful regulars). When you have booked a show with us, please do the following:1. PROMOTE THE SHOW. Within a month of your show, begin promoting as much as possible. A combination of word-of-mouth, print & electronic methods usually works best!
2. NOTIFY local print & radio (see below for a list) with 1 or 2 months of your show. Supply them with the date, venue, cost and line-up. We do send out our monthly calendar, but it never hurts to follow up...
3. MAKE FLYERS. Give them to friends & strangers alike. If you decide to post flyers on San Francisco streets, PLEASE make note of
SF's Posting Policy.
You WILL be charged for ANY fines incurred for illegal posting.4. TELL YOUR EAST BAY FRIENDS that we are a stone's throw from the Montgomery BART station, on Market! Let BART be your designated driver!
5. ARRIVE ON TIME. Load-in and soundcheck starts at 730pm. Doors usually open at 9pm. All shows must end by 12 midnight!
