Unwanted is a "new" track - new being that that I actually did it 5 years ago, forgot about it, somehow deleted it from my computer, etc. Plain old gone.


backstory...


My chum Gavin was working on a song for this girl named Rose, and got a bit stuck.  So he asked if I was interested in doing anything with it.  So, the vocals are by Rose (and presumably the lyrics?), not sure how played the guitar (hope he/she doesn't mind me making them sound so lo-fi) and the big Zeppelin-style beats that come in at the end were Gavin's contribution.  I forgot all about it until I found an mp3 of it on my friend Rodney's iMac! 


Made me laugh, thought it didn't sound bad, so and I thought I'd share.  Hope you like it

"Zoom01" is a remix I did in 2005 for Toronto-based artist Maura Doyle. She made a spastic all drum machine track (using a "Zoom01" drum machine - hence the title), which I (seriously) slowed down, simplified, and added vocals to.

Ps: there's going to be an honest-to-myspace new 2008 track soon - it's in the works

One of the most absurdly over-talented folk you'll meet on MySpace (or anywhere) is St. Augustine's Sister.  Last year I was lucky enough to record a tune with her - she provided lyrics, melody and her gorgeous voice, and I smothered it with the sounds of thousands of Cicadas.  Somewhow, that combo worked...
Anyway, I remixed the song just this week as it's going to be on an upcoming CD for Copperspine Records, and, of course, MySpace...

Sorry, there's been no new tunes lately, as I'm furiously working on the audio/software side of things for 12 Minutes Max, a multi-media dance production happening in Vancouver Dec 11 - 12. The piece I'm working on is really fun/interesting, and I'm looking forward to all the other pieces in the program. Worth checking out, if you can swing it...
