Here will reside a video diary of stuff Cody Clinton and The Bishops has done in the last year..  and the first video will be...

Saturday, August 08, 2009

Just wanted to let everyone know whats been going on with Cody Clinton and The Bishops... because between Desirae's chance of getting on AMC(VOTE!) and all the things the band has going on... it can get a bit confusing.

First of all... I wanted to make sure everyone was aware of the fact that you can Download our entire first record.. "The Tragic Truth" for free!!! That's right!! Every song.. 11 tracks... absolutely free!! The link to where you should go to download it is on our band page. It is on the website iLike.com and you should iLike us if you go download!!! If you are on our fans list and you are not downloading the album for free... I might be inclined to ask you why you are on our fans list... THE WHOLE ALBUM IS FREE!!!!

Secondly, I wanted to make sure everyone was aware of the show we're playing on August 14th(That's next Friday) with Western Heritage and our good friends Jason Ferguson and The Broherim. The show is only 6 dollars in advance and 8 the day of the show!! It's kind of celebrating the fact that Western Heritage and Cody Clinton and The Bishops were both voted onto the 2009 Z104.5 Edge Homegroan Compiltaion disc!
For more go to the event site that is up on our profile...

Lastly.. I wanted to let everyone know about the two radio spots we have to promote the show coming up. This Sunday night at midnight I will be on Tulsa's Edge Homegroan show to play a few acoustic songs and do an interview... so if you're up tune in to Z104.5 The Edge!! Then, Friday August 14th, for all you early birds, the full band will be performing and doing interviews with Phil and Brent on 97.5 KMOD's Friday Morning Live Show!!! Whew... that's a busy week!!

Anyways, I know its alot to remember... but trust me... we'll keep you posted!!! Thank you all so much for support our band and helping us come so far!!!

Thanks,
Cody

So here's the deal...
You're getting 10 bands for 6 dollars.
It cost 2 dollars between traveling and cost of medicine for 123international to administer medicine to a child.
So not only are you getting 10 bands for 6 dollars, but you're also saving 3 lives!!!

Curious about the lineup and set times???? Here it is.....

6:00 - 6:20 - Alex and The Anders
6:40 - 7:00 - The Yellow Pansies
7:20 - 7:40 - Physiques
8:00 - 8:20 - Miniver Cheevy
8:40 - 9:00 - Cecada
9:20 - 9:40 - Motive for Movement
10:00 - 10:20 - Vandevander
10:40 - 11:00 - Cody Clinton and The Bishops
11:20 - 11:40 - Jesse Aycock Band
12:00 - 12:20 - Pilgrim
Then from 12:30 till the cows come home we're all gonna jam it out together in a "Last Waltz" Fashion...

It was a great trip!!!

I made ALOT of new friends up in the mountains... they really have a GREAT scene going on up in Steamboat, Boulder, Ft. Collins, and Denver!! I was treated like a friend the whole time I was up there!! I have never met so many nice people in one place... and they were all complete strangers!!

It is good to be back to Tulsa with friends, family, and my dogs. I'm super tired.. I just arrived at my parents place in Oologah to pick up my dogs and crash here for the night after a 12 hour drive today.(mostly through western kansas) Now that I'm back I'm putting all of my energy into the "Concert for Nicaragua" coming up on April, 11th at The Marquee here in Tulsa. It's going to be an amazing event with plenty of good music and an even better cause. I think we're up to 10 bands now.. it's gonna be an all day show packed with Tulsa's finest musicians followed by and All-Star Jam including members from multiple projects at the end of the night!!!

I will say, I do miss the mountains already and am anxious to get back up there as soon as I possibly can. Props to Brandon Clark for hooking me up with the gigs up there. He's up there right now, and I'm sure he's having a blast!! Anyways, I could talk all day about mountains, dogsledding, thrift stores in Denver, and the downtown area of Boulder... instead I'm just going to go to bed.

Thanks,
Cody

Welp,
I(Cody) am off to Colorado where I'll be playing a show every night for two weeks up in the mountains. It's just gonna be acoustic shows, but I really enjoy playing acoustic and hopefully I'll make a lot of new friends up there so that I can head back up there this summer with The Bishops. By the way, The Bishops are planning on touring this summer through Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Arkansas, Texas, Colorado, and maybe Tennessee. Nothing is set in stone, but we're really hoping to get out this summer and play our music for everyone in the Midwest. As for all of our Oklahoma friends, we really love you guys. You keep us alive and moving and give us hope. So many of you have been SO super supportive and we're now ready to give the rest of the Midwest a shot and hopefully from there we can move on to the rest of the States. Also, I put No Complaints and Fake ID up on the myspace page so that you could all get to listen before I release our record on iTunes. We're kind of treating it like a new release date for the record and are going to push it the way we wish we could have after the CD release show last June. You can hear snippets of the entire record at iLike.com and it's also streaming on youshowcase.com and garageband.com. Hope you all get a chance to check it out... and... add me on facebook!! I'm still figuring facebook out but it seems to be a pretty cool way to communicate much like myspace.

Thanks,
Cody
