Well...I went on Friday for my fasting glucose test-really not concerned about its outcome. I'm only slightly over my required weight..and seem to be in fairly good health. I FAILED! I am happy and mad. I am happy that they found it so soon because now I can watch my sugar levels and keep my baby safe. I am mad because now I have to check my sugar levels every day! I have to prick my own finger every day. I hurt just thinking about it. I guess what they say is true. That we really have to sacrifice when we have kids-I just did not know I would have to start BEFORE he/she is in the world:). But I'm more than willing to do it. Something I thought I would NEVER say.

Well...I can say that its been a rough road thus far but every day has been worth it. I was talking to someone about the nausea that comes with the first trimester and how I HATE THROWING UP! I am the queen of holding in vomit. She laughed at me saying that I wouldn't be able to hold morning sickness in. Let me just say-I AM STILL THE QUEEN OF HOLDING IN VOMIT! IN YOUR FACE! (hopefully I have not just jinxed myself). Anyway-the nausea sucks but it is well worth it. I am looking forward to what's to come and hopefully saying goodbye to the morning sickness.

My American Idol dreams are forever laid to rest. I tried out-got the boot-was told I was like a "bun in the oven"-not yet up to my potential. All in all the experience was great. I made a new friend, am now in the inner circle about what happens at the auditions, and will never regret not trying. It is good to know that they really do audition everyone, there aren't as many freaks as you would think, and there are a LOT of talented people in the world. I guess now I will pass on the dream of being the next big superstar and just be a great mother!
