Current mood:  tired
We put some new material up on our MySpace artist page. Two new songs called "Time Will Wait" and "It's Over Now". These songs were work in progress/live recordings that we set aside to be finalized for the new album. We just thought it would be nice to let everyone hear what we had been working on. Give them a listen and let us know what you think.

Enjoy!

We have been discussing the future of Lions and Scissors with each other lately.

From a creative perspective there is much work that needs to be done but very little time to accomplish the creative tasks at hand when other matters step in and command priority.

With each member being pulled several different directions it's hard to focus on what we really want to do in life so we have decided to temporarily go hiatus to sort things out musically and personally.

We wish everyone in the Atlanta music scene all the best and we hope to see you soon!

Kind regards,
Lions and Scissors.

We had a great turnout Saturday night for our July 18th performance at The Drunken Unicorn and had a couple unexpected guests stop by that night. Nadia at Target Audience Magazine was kind enough to meet with us after the show and wrote a great review about us in her Magazine. You can read the review at the link below. The talented Mr.Casey actually filmed some of the show as well! Casey was kind enough to send us the video which turned out great. We must apologize for the rough audio quality on the video in advance though. It was a really loud show and his little camera microphone could not take that kind of a beating. You can watch the video of the show on our MySpace page it's titled "Coney Island - Science is Fiction - Drunken Unicorn" All in all it was a great night and Wake of the Titan and the Killer and the Martyr gave everyone an incredible performance! A special thanks to everyone for coming out that night and supporting the local music scene in Atlanta. We would never be able to do this without your support.

Plus, check out the awesome Discovery footage! Have YOU ever had YOUR voice placed over Discovery footage? I didn't think so!

Tyler Klang, our good friend and superfan, edits this podcast (and very much like a Boss (might we add)).

Please check it out - we think you'll like it!
and if you don't... I mean it's free dude, c'mon...

I’m not sure if anyone else noticed, but there was a celebrity at our show last night. Chuck from the Stuff You Should Know (with Chuck and Josh) podcast was hanging out with some friends at our show – yeah – OUR SHOW – suck on that Nightwish!

I got to talk with Chuck and his friend Chris for a minute before the show – and apparently they have a band – awesome! Hopefully someday… Lions and Scissors and La Banda del Viejo Hombres can rock a show together.  If only….

If you’re reading this Chuck… and even if you are not… thanks for your support! Oh, and your podcast frackin’ RULES!

The following message is a formal warning to all citizens of Atlanta:

On September 13, 2008 - Lions and Scissors will be playing alongside two of Atlanta's most intricate, and engaging bands - Morning Lights and Sunday Drive Bye.

What do you get when you add a dash of Lions and Scissors to an already smoldering solution of Morning Lights and Sunday Drive Bye?

Well... let's just say that it involves George Clooney, the North Atlantic Ocean, and a sword-fishing boat.

Don't even THINK about showing up without your galoshes, ponchos, and extra under-garments.
