www.archive.org/search.php?query=creator%3A%22Burn%20Without%20Me%22Thar be tha' link to go to the listing of both of our albums now at The Internet Archive. Still completely free, and now no more pop-ups or spam, that occasionally plague Mediafire and Megaupload. Oh, you may just have to copy-paste the link into your address bar, since the 'tards here running Myspace will most likely think The Internet Archive is a SPAM or PHISHING site. Is is NOT. It is a legitimate file storage facility. Stoopid Myspace. If you have to, just Google Internet Archive, or Archive.org, and use the search engine when you get there to search for Burn Without Me. Or Google Burn Without Me. Whatever. Frickin' Myspace. Really?? Really??!?We're trying to work out our next project, most definitely with the direct involvement of Dimaension X, but a lot depends on our schedules (classes, work, famliy stuff, holidays, etc.), so who knows when we'll be able to actively do a full album again. Hopefully soon. Meanwhile, please scoot over to the Internet Archive and download our stuff. It's free. And while you're there, dig around in the Audio section - you're sure to discover much more pretty cool music there. Seth and Co.

"Holy Blade of Death is now ready for download from Mediafire. Here's the actual URL if the link above futzes out like most links do on Myspace: http://www.mediafire.com/?1h5njqnvnbw Please
feel free to download, burn to your I_pods or a CD, re-post it at your
blogs, and play it very loud. Loud. Very Loud, please. We're also
going to upload it to Last.fm, and have some samples streaming at our Myspace page very soon.
This one is a little different - more jams and spacey sections, and a
few guitar solos courtesy of our friend and co-producer, Dave Lanciani
(aka Dimaension X). Stop over at our Myspace and Last.fm pages and drop us a comment. Seth and crew.

Current mood: determined
Second album is quickly nearing completion - tentatively titled "Holy Blade of Death". Dimaension X (Mr. Dave Lanciani) really out did himself this time - what a huge help he's been since Everett had to leave us. Everett did manage to get some synth tracks done here and there, and Dave stepped up to the plate confidently, writing some great jams, blasting out some great solos, and adding some great voice samples.
We also decided not to downtune the guitars quite as much this time. Drop-D is to lowest we went, and we think everything just sounds clearer and cleaner.
There's a lot of unexpected twists and turns also, mainly due to Dave's involvement. Way more jamming (including some blues AND a reggae section. Yeah, I said REGGAE!), some odd jazzy sounds, some of Dave's extended guitar solos that you usually get on his Dimaension X albums, but there's still plently of blast-beats, double-bass, and thunderous metal riffing.
Definitely a bit more avant-garde and open-minded. Oh, here's a preview of the potential album cover.
Hopefully the album will be completed in a month or so. Oh yeah! There's an uncredited eighth track, a cover of, ... well, you figure it out when you hear it!

Everett
Jordan announced yesterday that he would be leaving the band. He will be
moving to Oregon to help with the care of his parents. We wish Jordan
and his family all of the best.
In the meantime, the rest band
will begin working on its next album, and has asked Dimaension X (aka
Dave Lanciani) to take on a more active and creative role (i.e., we
need help with the synths, samples, and programming that Jordan was so
adept at). We're also hoping that Jordan might still have some time to
work on a few synth parts and email them to us.
The show must go on... and will...

The album is now available for FREE download. Yeah, free download at a
Mediafire link (for now). After much thought and consideration, we
decided just to distribute it for free, and let anyone have it. This
way, we get plenty of distribution and promotion without worrying about
record contracts, royalities, etc., which most bands get screwed over
anyway. So why not say screw you to the record labels and let anyone
and everyone who wants it can have it (is that grammatically correct??).
Just go to our "About Burn Without Me section" and there's a link at the bottom
of the section, right above our "Friends" section.
It is also available for free download at last.fm - http://www.last.fm/music/Burn+Without+Me/A+Tale+of+Modern+Ruin
We're planning on uploading it to the Internet Archive, as soon as Dimaension X shows us how to do it.
We were really inspired by Dimaension X, who gives
all his stuff away, not to mention helped us out immensely for
nuthin'!! He's had almost 15,000 downloads (dude!!) of his albums.
Pretty impressive. So we figured it's probably better to get lots of
people to listen to our tunes and spread the word. Spread the
disease!!!

The album is nearly completed - but once we figured out the actual running time, we realized it was still under 40 minutes. Just not long enough for us. We're gonna work on a bonus track (which will probably be uncredited on the album art), which is going to be a kind of obscure choice. We think we're gonna do a medley of Band of Susans tracks (or at least something that sounds similar), something simple, repetitive and heavy, maybe Glenn Branca-esque, but done with our own heavy sound, maybe some blast-beats, etc. We may also try to throw in some of Bowie's "Chant of the Ever Circling Skeletal People" We're really not sure yet, but it's going to be loud and heavy. Seth and crew We just realized that the bonus track will not fit on the Myspace player, so you can only get it through the last.fm link below: "A Tale of Modern Ruin"Update - 06/18/2009 The bonus track will also be included in the download from Mediafire and eventually from The Internet Archive.

We decided to go ahead and post a few of the short sections of a few of the songs. Note, these are just sections of longer songs, but we think they're pretty cool. Dimaension X was a huge help in getting these songs recorded. We keep telling him that he really should be doing this for a job, but he don't wanna do it full time. Too bad. The metal world needs a guy like him. These songs are just examples of the "grindy" stuff we're doing. We're still mixing the more atmospheric sections, adding samples, synths, etc. We'll get some of those up, too. later, Seth (and crew)

Hiya kids - As you can see, we finally got our crap together and got our Myspace page going. We're in the midst of recording our debut album, and will be posting songs when we get them done. We're still debating how to release the album. Most likely, we're gonna upload it to a few spots and have it available for free download. Yup, free download. Why? Let's face it, dudes, we ain't gonna make any money with this kind of music. And if we play any shows, it's probably gonna be to about ten people in a hot and sweaty room that's way too small. But we are going to put a lot of time an effort into this album. We may try to sell it through Itunes or Tunecore, or something like that. Maybe CD Baby? We'll see. After a few of the songs get posted, we'll see what kind of comments we get. We did manage to contact a really talented guy to help us with the recording and mix/master of the album..You all know him as Dimaension X. We really liked his music a lot. In some ways, it's very similar to what we're doing (we'll, without the grindcore influence - his stuff is way more "musical.") But we figured we'd have someone else lend an hear and help us with the monumental task of recording music this twisted. We'll start uploading music ASAP. later, Seth
