Current mood: grateful
Wow. My first blog. I'm such a blogger. Last night's Love for Cash show (Johnny Cash Tribute) @ Aggie Theatre in Fort Collins will be one of the most memorable shows that I've ever promoted. All three bands sounded solid. I really appreciated Prism for giving the music world something that it has never heard before. It was going to be hard to infuse their electronica based sound with the twizang of Johnny Cizzy. I don't think that anyone knew what to expect and we were all excited and anxious to see and hear their interpretation. By incorparting vocals into their set, they were able to perform Cocaine Blues and Hurt (amongs others) in a manner that everyone was happy with and proud to be experiencing. The kidz were dancing. ....White Water Ramble carried the evening in the traditional Johnny Cash spirit. They came out strong with Folsom Prison and followed it up with Big River....after playing a few of their originals, Mark from Prism came out and then the party begun.....what happened next was a 13 minute version of A Boy Named Sue. Thanks to the over 300 people who came out and supported the show last night. Your presence was further proof of how special the Fort Collins music scene really is. Today I drove to Colorado Springs and went to the top of Pikes Peak. It was a pleasent journey up and down the mountain. 65 degrees at the base and a lowly 27degrees (and snowing!) at the top! ...I uploaded a photo...you'll get the idea. We kick off the Cosmic Break Tour tomorrow in Denver. I'm picking Joshua up from the airport at 3:30 and shortly thereafter the madness will really begin.... Thanks for reading my blizzy blog. Maybe I'll write another.
