So,
Back from supporting the lovely Kate Walsh on tour and the brilliant 'Swn' festival in Cardiff, I thought I'd post a little blog about the Allotment podcast, tracks taken from our gig there a few weeks back are available now to listen to.... http://welcometotheallotment.wordpress.com/2009/10/25/podcast/
In the mean time here's a picture taken by Alexandra Bone of us in the Norwich Arts Centre ...
also look out for me and Sarah supporting 'Emily Maguire' on some of her dates in November.

So I thought I'd finally post some reviews we've got for the EP so far....

1) http://www.forfolkssake.com/articles/343

2) Buzz Magazine, Cardiff (June 09 - Three Stars)
"Two Welsh singer/songwriters move to London and write an American country EP. Yeehaw! Joking aside, underrated vocalist Sarah Howells (ex-Halflight) has an amazing voice and Al Lewis can write radio-friendly melodies in his sleep. It's promising stuff..."

3) Maverick Magazine (July 09 - Three Stars)
http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p307/allewismusic/clip_image002.jpg
".....Gentle harmonies which recall the hey-day of Simon & Garfunkel and Bread; lush acoustic based musical arrangements and literate songwriting all adds up to a must hear CD..."

4) Rock and Reel Magazine (July 09)

Hi Everyone,

Welcome to the new Al Lewis & Sarah Howells MySpace page.

We're really excited to be putting up the first of our new tracks (Sinking Boat & Make a Little Room). They were recorded in January at the MusicBox Studios in Cardiff with Llion Robertson (Producer/Engineer Extrodinaire) and will be part of the 'Skin & Bones  EP' which will be out later this spring.

Big thanks to everyone who appears on the record (Arwel Lloyd, Ryan Aston, Richard Llewelyn, Wal Coughlan, Bryden String Quartet, Lucy Skinner, Nigel Hopkins and Alex Humphreys)

...in the meantime enjoy these taster tracks and come check us out live somewhere near you.

Adios

Al & Sarah x

Hello MySpace,

You may or may not have noticed but I recently uploaded a demo of a new song "Treading Water" onto my page. Its a song I did with Producer/Writer Peter Vettese (
http://www.myspace.com/petervettese). I'm really happy with this and the other co-writes I've been doing recently have turned out and I hope to be putting up more new material on here in the not too distant future.

Happy listening

Al
