I may only be a lapsed Presbyterian, but I know a good Chanukah tune when I hear it. By Brigid Kaelin, a great Louisville musician/songwriter...and a pretty mean yodeller, too. Nice to see some of my favorite Ville spots in here, as well.

On November 22 I always think back to this day, for a few minutes. I saw this and was thinking...when they make that last turn, the whole world- and the future, for all of us- is about to change. One gun, ten guns, whatever you believe...same result. I like that the film is silent. It fits.

Sid grew up in my hometown of Louisville...now he's living in the UK. A great musician and writer...with the Long Ryders, Coal Porters, any of his recordings are worth checking out. And all of his books are a good read, as well.

Always loved this movie....the flying monkeys always scared me though...
