What they say about nurses, sleep and pain pills...
I knew it was all true but give me a break.
At about 9pm I asked the nurse to bring me a percocet so I could get a good nights sleep. Humph...
At 11pm I was somewhere in twilight land somewhat resting, all of the sudden I hear this loud thud on the door as it abruptly open the nurse just wanted to ask if every thing was ok. At this point I was relieved because I thought I was in the middle of a home invasion in my little town called twilight land. I start to doze back off and about 10 minutes later another nurse entered the room wanting to check vitals and she asked if I was ok. I told her at least she did not scare the hell out of me.
Well it was 12:30am and the door opens again with the nurse informing me that I could not have another percocet till 1am (I had not asked for one at this point), I decided I might as well stay awake because I was remember why I might need a percocet. The throbbing started right up. 1am passes by; 1:15 passes by and finally at 1:30 I get my percocet.
I got to thinking they are probably going to come back in at 3am to get vitals again. If I had to guess they will be back in at 6am to ask about the percocet again. Then at 7am they have shift change and will introduce me to the new shift, by then it will be 8am and they will be serving something they refer to as breakfast. The flavors were very questionable. I could distinctly taste the one flavor I added and it was salt, nothing else had any flavor. The bacon had the appearance of moist flat jerky. The biscuit tasted like flower and water biscuits. Ummm...
If all of this does not make sense, I am under the influence of percocet and it is 2am.
Good night!
