Wow!
Just had an MRI for the first time.  Nothing serious.  Just some knee oddness..
I am now utterly fascinated with them..  Making pictures of tissue by having it interact with radio frequency and electromagnetism??
Who came up with that?!  Genius.  It felt so futuristic.  In this room all by yourself in a tube with headphones on listening to crazy loud bleep blops and bangs...
It's almost a cliche of what medicine in "the future" is like..
Kinda blew my mind.

Afterwards, even swiping a Metrocard seemed novel and impressive.

Welcome to the future, people..  And that shit was invented in 1973!

Hey there! We recently were mentioned in the Jersey Beat!! You can check out the link  here , or read below:

THE BLOODSUGARS – "BQ" EP www.engineroomrecordings.com)

This is a really cool blend of indie-rock and various styles of 80s music. The music and arrangements are pure indie-rock, but the beat is pure dance, sometimes with the funky flair of disco, other times with other influences. For example, the opener "Purpose Was Again," seems to have quite a bit of Queen influence, while "Cinderella," the third track on the disc, sounds like it could have come from an early Police album. "Breakfast on the BQE" is a cool track that seems to be pretty laid back, musically, but with a fairly driving beat underneath. It has sort of a feeling of floating down a river on a raft, or at least that's the emotional feel I got from it. Your results may vary. "Uh Oh" is the closer of this 6-song EP, and it's probably the closest thing to "traditional" indie-pop on the disc. It's a nice, quiet piece, which uses acoustic guitar and background vocals as a musical instrument, sort of chime-like. And, yes, there's also real chimes in the instrumentation, too! Speaking of vocals, Jason Rabinowitz's vocals absolutely soar on this disc. He perfectly sets the mood on each track. Overall, this is a pretty cool disc. Only 6 songs here, but not a bad one in the bunch.
