Current mood:  anxious
Wolfgang is the man that used to live in my flat. He died. The removal men said it was a nightmare getting his stuff out. The garden was a forest and there were electrical gadgets and wires covering everything. When i moved in there was a smell to the place. I just couldn't get rid of it. I thought it was gas so I got the gas man in. "No darling" he said "thats not gas, thats the smell of old people, the smell of old man". Of Wolfgang.

So we, the Rude Mechanicals, had a sceance. I became temporarily possessed by Wolfgang, who just wanted to complain about the current state of Greta Garbo's hair, and now it seems the "smell of old man" has left my flat.

The Wolfgang Sceance recording will most probably now be appearing on our The Cyclops & the Wildebeest LP. Previously I had thought it our phantom download track but that was not to be. I was pessimistic about it, damn right rude some may say, but it seems I have been proved wrong (well being possessed is a humiliating experience and I was just hiding my embarassment by abusing others, as usual) . The Rude Mechanicals and Mr Punkvert have done a jolly wonderful job on our recording of the Wolfgang Sceance!

Of course part of me knows this is all a plot between Mr Punkvert, Tommy G (who wrote the lyrics) and Wolfgang, to make me look bloody stupid.

Is "Wolfgang" going to be the code word for "don't listen to that bossy Miss Roberts, she knows nothing!"?

Current mood:  flirty
Come back to mine
I'll show you my bones
In the back garden
Under the dead leaves
Under the stones
Come back with me
Back here
To my home
Where the flesh is rotting
And the scavengers roam

Come back to mine
Amongst the mud
Covered in grime
Old, Hollow
Fragile and fine
Come back to mine
I'll show you my bones*

*ideally sung in the voice of the Scarey Fish Finger Woman from This is Ming Beat - A Tribute to Sexton Ming
http://www.sextonming.co.uk/index.php

There you go, a whole new "I'm in an odd mood and trying to expel ghosts" song you can whistle in your head to your very own made up tune*. All for free!
I've dug up what must have been a dead dog in my back garden (no not a murder victim, please, I live on my own here and there is already a ghost called Wolfgang). I just had to write a blog mentioning it, just in case...

This is not a song we'll be doing on the 2nd August because I just made it up, and well, it doesn't exist except in mine and your heads, and I suppose on myspace now. We will however be doing lots of new songs at The George Tavern on Sunday 2nd August, some of which will be on the lovely new album we are currently recording - vinyl, oooh, nice to stroke - The Cyclops & The Wilderbeast. Out in the Autumn.

And yes "Come back to mine I'll show you my bones" does seem to work as a chat up line. Try it.

Love

Current mood:  dirty
Today is a day for writing nonsense. I thought, in this far too damn personal blog I occasionally write, that I might do a summing up of the old alien thing as I've had to explain it to several people recently and so this is a kind of attempt to get it straight for myself. Why that means presenting it here ugly and deformed (its a bit like public nudity and I should probably be arrested) I don't know, but whats the point of a bad soap anyway?

See being an alien means, aside from the symbiotic band Rude Mechanicals, that I have another alien living inside my head - Alien Vein Monster - I've taken to calling it Derek recently as I nolonger live in a flat with a loft for a Derek to live in so I'm keeping one in my head. This Derek Alien is just like having a small creature living inside the head, sometimes it kicks, sometimes it fidgets, sometimes its so quiet I almost forget its there, sometimes it has tantrums, one of which very almost killed me.

Good points about this Derek:

1. It gives me amazing hallucinations and visions - I must save a fortune on drugs.

2. Means I know the answer to life, the universe and everything (42)

3. Knowing that my fate lies in the hands of an Alien called Derek gives life a certain zing.

So, all those of you who wish to join us in zing (but possibly minus fruit juice), with me, Derek, and the Rude Mechanicals, come along to Gypsy Hotel at Barden's Boudoir, Dalston, on the 20th June. OOOH yeah, it will be good!

By the way, seeing as Mr Dylan Bates (distant relative of Lynda Beast) sprawled his brilliant but warped mind across the stage at the Vortex last night, I feel completely justified in sticking snippets of my temporal lobe-ally disturbed mind here! So there!

Love

Current mood:  sneaky
I've moved flat leaving behind both Derek and The Neighbours, but now I have a ghost called Wolfgang to keep me company and am thinking of becoming a mad cat lady if I can get someone to fit me with a cat flap. Might get a dog even, and I have a garden so will be growing additional alien creatures there to help with my take over of the world. Am typing this very very quietly as have had to sneek back into old flat to use my computer and internet (long long story about how they could only move half my stuff but does mean I still sort of have half access to internet) and the neighbour is in next door singing drunken songs. But thought I'd let you know about this:

JUST 'CAUSE ITS LOUD, DON'T MEAN IT'S FUNNY
An exhibition of Ex Gratia Recordings artwork daily - 11am - 11pm Sunday 10th to Sunday 31st May 2009 free
Inn on the Green, 3 - 5 Thorpe Close, Ladbroke Grove, London W10 5XL
http://punkvert.tv/pretty/justbecauseitsloud.html

Would be nice if you can make it on Sunday, there'll be all sorts of bewildering performances and music on the opening night. Miss Roberts probably won't be there but Jo will. And now I shall attempt to sneek out of my flat without being heard by the neighbour...
