This is where I will be posting reviews.  Good or bad.  Starting off with a nice one from Adam (Lycanthropy Angst)

Straight outta Boston, MA, just an hour or so from where I live, comes the new and upcoming band Bone Ritual. Here is their 2009 promo demo and it's a doozy. Crushing Black/Doom, sometimes even slowing down to Funeral Doom, this is a must for fans of the genre. Bone Ritual is proof that metal is still alive and well.

The demo starts off with a very ritualistic drum beat that, ever so slowly, begins to creep faster and faster and faster, until your head is spinning wildly! A hell of a way to open up a release, and it truly marks the stage for things to come. Utilizing a very over-produced sound, in that it sounds overly thick and saturating, Bone Ritual are in the driver's seat with their sound and keep it going with doomy, rumbling riffs. The drums are the selling point here, and, as I mentoined earlier, they have that ritualistic sound, and are by far the most prominent instrument in the mix. Nothing too impressive or unique about the drumming, but who cares, as long as it's got that emotional touch and is done very well. I eagerly await some new material from these guys. Recommended!
