We have a Facebook page, so wish us a hearty welcome to 2004. Recording is going well. We're halfway done with tracking. We're getting ready to set up some local shows for the first half of 2010, and then hopefully playing out a bit in the summer. See you then!

We will be recording for a full length (as in it'll clock in at about 40 minutes and some change) in a week and a half.  Street date of the record should be sometime in the first few months of 2010.  We'll keep you posted.  E-mail us at angeleyes[at]workerparasite[dot]com if you want more info, for some odd reason.  Until then, have fun, and keep bringing the rock.

Current mood:  high

our pals over at aquarius records are the only folks in the states that will be selling these (for a while, anyway) and there are very few.

here's a link to their site!

these are some nice words they said about it.

"with
a sound both warm and lush, heavy and crushing, brooding, pounding
minor key melancholic slow building heaviness, epic and majestic,
anguished howled vocals over super melodic metallic crush, monstrous
and pummeling and almost orchestral at times, laced with cool expanses
of shimmery, dreamlike low end guitar, streaks of glistening feedback,
chiming bell like melodies, eventually slipping into a super minimal
drift, all reverby and echoey, a woozy soft focus slowcore sprawl, that
eventually builds and builds and explodes into a super epic emo
metalpsych blow out finale. These guys are so good. One of the few
bands, amidst the many who now practice this sort of thing, that should
have the big boys shaking in their boots.
Cool
gatefold sleeves, a bit confusing which band is on which side, but
you'll figure it out, and both bands kick ass, but Angel Eyes' sidelong
track is worth the price of admission. LIMITED of course, we got our
copies direct from the band, their LAST copies, which means when we run
out we'll have to get more from the label in Europe, so if that
happens, please be patient while we wait for more to arrive from
overseas, and needless to say (but since that's the way we roll we'll
say it anyway) ABSO-FUCKING-LUTELY RECOMMENDED!

also:

we had our first show with bob doing noise and it went very well. we're stoked to have him onboard. we've been writing, writing and writing, and will hopefully be back in the studio before the end of the year!

stay rad,

brendan

ps. we're side two of the split

Do other people get weird-ass friend requests too?

My favorite are the people who CLEARLY just searched for "Angel" and clicked "add" on everyone who comes up.

We're constantly getting friend requests from 50 year old women from Kansas, or wherever, with pictures of fairies and sparkly princesses on their pages who say that the things which are most important to them are, in this order, God, their dogs, their beautiful children.

I mean... just click on our page, lady. You'll know not to add us pretty quick.

I figured out how to fix the page so we can enter stuff into our "bio" shit again, which is big for me because I don't know shit about computers.

So yeah.  That information is now relatively current.

Have a good day.

Hi there. I'm having trouble updating the myspace page. It seems to be screwing up a lot. I was going to update the band bio to say that the new record is out, but it's not letting me do that.

SO... if you want to hear the new record, go to our Last.Fm page and you can listen to it, along with songs from the old record.

I would also suggest just going to our website which we can actually update, for any goings on with us.

That's all.

Yeah. Last night was our CD release show for our new CDEP "...and For a Roof a Sky Full of Stars." It was a blast. I'm not bothering to put a song up in the thing there because I'm currently LAZY AS HELL. However we will have a player on our website (www.vanfuckingcleef.com) real soon where you can stream the whole thing. We're nice like that. You can also buy it from big J to the Ustin at http://www.myspace.com/undergroundcommuniquerecords.

We are all really happy with it. It's obviously shorter than our last release (being an EP but I'm way more pleased with how it came out.

That's all.

Hi there. Haven't updated this in a while.

1) We are playing at the Note on July 19th. It looks like it will be our CD release. See our shows section for more info. It looks to be sweet.

2) Speaking of, so yeah- we have a new CDEP coming out on Underground Communique. We're all really happy with it. I like it way more than our last release, personally. When it's all available and stuff we'll post some info about it here, like where you can get it. We'll also put a song from it up here soon.

3) We're currently writing and getting ready to record our song for the A Fine Boat That Coffin split LP coming out on Concubine records. We all like the song a lot so far.

4) Ryan got a new drumset.

5) Uh....... I can't think of anything else.

The rock doesn't stop.

the comments section on our page seems pretty frickin' broke. anyone who spends way more time on myspace than i do know how to fix it? we can't delete shit and it won't go down past that "who looks at your site" bullshit. i'm tired of some of those craptastic comments and would like to delete them.

thanks!

edit: so professional nice guy joel from the mylene sheath label went ahead and gave us some code to send our comments section to siberia for reeducation.  we can still see it but no one else can.  ha.

so now if you want to leave us a comment about "sexii graphics" that we can download from some website we'll be the only ones who know what a huge fucking moron you are.  sorry.
