Hey Everybody:

We don't mean to bombard everybody with multiple bulletins like this but the news keeps coming and we want everybody to have all of the info.  The debut American Babies CD is now available through CD Baby for those of you who want to hold the beautiful packaging in your hands.  In addition, the album will be available in the coming days on Itunes, Emusic, Napster and every other digital download retailer you can think of.  This is in addition to already being available at Rhapsody and right here through the fine folks at Snocap (and for you Boston folk, Newburry Comics too).

If you really like what you are hearing from American Babies and want to turn your friends onto the music as well, Snocap makes it very easy for you.  You can help the band out by posting a Snocap store on your own myspace page that will allow others to pick up the music that you like straight off of your own myspace page or blog or site of your choice.

In addition, if you missed us on the air at WERS earlier this morning, you can check out what you missed by heading over to WERS.org (coming soon) or you can just come out and catch up with us at one of the upcoming shows next week (which you can check out below).

Catch up with American Babies:
7.21.07 - Northampton, MA, Iron Horse Music Hall (w/ The Brakes, Pete & Jay)
7.24.07 - New York, NY, Knitting Factory (w/ The Brakes, Crystal Warren)
7.26.07 - Philadelphia, PA, North Star Bar (w/ The Brakes, Pete & Jay)
7.27.07 - Baltimore, MD, 8x10 Club (w/ The Brakes, Pete & Jay)
7.28.07 - Chicago, IL, Wicker Park Festival (w/ Mofro, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Something for Rockets and more)

Thanks for checking in with us and we hope to see you soon.

Enjoy.

People in the New England area (definitely Boston) can check with their local Newbury Comics if you are looking to buy the CD itself...they have hard copies of the disc available at their stores (definitely the one in Cambridge). Head on over and grab a copy today :)

Tom Hamilton is ready to bring his Babies to the nation's attention. American Babies will be releasing their debut self-titled recording on Tuesday, June 12th, after six months of recording and mixing in Philadelphia and New York City at every odd hour imaginable. So, it is only fitting that Tom would be bringing his American Babies down to the Summer's biggest festival, Bonnaroo, for an early-afternoon appearance on the Sonic Stage…So, head on over to Centeroo, pick yourself up some flapjacks from your local pancake salesman, and sidle up to the familiar tunes of American Babies. To warm up for the big performance, the band will come together on Monday, June 11th, at the Knitting Factory Old Office for one more NYC-area concert.

American Babies will be released digitally on Tuesday, June 12th, through AmericanBabies.net, Rhapsody and the American Babies SnoCap store. In addition, copies will be available on CDBaby.com upon the band's return from Bonnaroo. The album features 12 original tracks from Tom Hamilton and the band, including instant classics, "Swimming at Night" and "Baby, Don't Cry," which have been receiving airplay at tastemaker stations WERS in Boston and WXPN in Philadelphia.

Can I be honest with you?
Just this once I'll tell you the truth.
I'm scared, oh so scared.

Wont you look at me
These crying eyes show no shame
Look at them and don't turn away
Would you wipe my tears and tell me "Don't cry."

I feel like a boy without a home is a boy who's all alone
And dying for attention
You had to see it coming
You know that I couldn't help it.
I was dying for affection.

Wont you look at me
These crying eyes show no shame
Look at them and don't turn away
Would you wipe my tears and tell me "Don't cry."

There's a love that doesn't cost much
I had it once but then I lost touch
I don't know where it comes from
But it always goes away
I spread my love too thin my friend
And it happens all over again
So baby don't cry

There's a love that doesn't cost much
I had it once but then I lost touch
I don't know where it comes from
But it always goes away
I spread my love too thin my friend
And it happens all over again
Wont you wipe the tears from my eyes and say,
"Baby, don't cry

I'm only stopping by to dry out
Clean up from being soused out
I don't feel like a fight today
You've made a mess of me.

I don't feel like a fight today
Hearing you say your right again
You're prettier than a thousand words
Cheers to getting rid of me

You came home and I was laid out, I was fall down, I was head back.

You're prettier than a thousand words
But your mouth, it lies!! And it wont be heard
I've got my pills and satin shirts
And my women that dress me.

I've got my pills for the wide eyes
Got my pills for the shut eyes
You're prettier than a thousand girls.
Cheers to getting rid of me.

You came home and I was laid out, I was fall down, I was head back.

I've been waiting for you to ask me, "Do I miss you?"
Well, you know I do.
Life was so much better when I had you.
Do I still love you?
Honey, you know I do!!

So cheers to getting rid of me
And here's to moving on
Ya see I'm tired of playing this ruthless game,
I had you, I lost you, I had you, I lost you…
