Coach Said Not To needs a webby revamp.

Our official website www.coachsaidnotto.com has looked the same for a long time.

Are there any intrepid graphic designers with some knowledge of flash out there willing to donate their time and talent to build us a new site? You would have our eternal gratitude and portfolio piece!

Send me a message.

Michelle Collins at Vh1 was kind enough to give CSNT a mention on Friday.

Cut and Paste. Go and see.

p.s. Can someone school me about putting hyperlinks in myspace? The basic html I know is failing me, hence the annoying cutting and pasting.

Current mood:  thirsty
Category: Goals, Plans, Hopes

Thirsty is a mood? I guess I am feeling thirsty, so yes, it's a mood.

What's a Coach... gal to do on a Tuesday afternoon?

Catching up on world events, perusing the classifieds/craigslist for rigs of the bass variety. It's time that I invest in a big, fat, smooth set-up of my own. I'm looking for the buddha of bass rigs.

Thoughts on Hartke, Mesa Boogie, Gallien-Kreuger, or what my little rapidly beating bird heart desires, an Ampeg from the late 1970's?

Once the question of maker has been answered how do I decide between 4-10", or 2-15", solid state or tubes? Don't give me that "personal preference" crap. I'll eat what I'm fed thank you very much.

In fact, I'm sick of making my own decisions about everything. I didn't ask to be an adult with interests, and plans, and hobbies, and dreams. Enough with the nagging! What kind of salad dressing do you want? Where are you going to go to grad school? Hey, why did you just light my mailbox on fire and dance naked in my yard at 1:30 in the afternoon? Why do I do anything mom? Answer me that? Oh, you don't read blogs? Very Conveeeeenient. Maybe it's because I'm in a thirsty mood. I'm going to have a fresca and stretch out my hammies. Dammit, nutrisweet! You taste like aluminum foil!

This just got a little weird didn't it?

Welcome to the World of Coach Said Not To 10/18/04 Hello again, everyone. It's been a while since our final show of 2004, and yes, Eva's still in Spain, but that hasn't meant we've been dormant. Check out all that we've been up to: MISSING CHILDREN MINNESOTA CD Back in early September, we were invited to record on a benefit album for Missing Children Minnesota called, "Missing: Code Blue." The process involved 14 local Twin Cities bands and was recorded in a 2 day marathon session at Third Ear Studios by Tom Herbers. Each track is an original acoustic (or in our case, more stripped-down) version of a song by each group/artist. The album is available for sale starting October 26 at Best Buy and other Minnesota music retailers. To hear sample tracks, see photos from the recording sessions and find out more about the project, visit the album's site. JOIN US FOR THE CD RELEASE PARTY To celebrate the release of "Missing: Code Blue," the organizers are throwing a CD release party: Thursday, October 28 Fine Line Music Café Doors @ 7:00pm Music @ 8:00pm Bands include: JoAnna James, Jessy Greene, Billy Johnson, and Dan Israel and the Cultivators 21+ $12 While Coach Said Not To ISN'T playing this event, we'll be there to support the disc and hope you'll stop by and do the same. CSNT FASHION PHOTO SPREAD For those of you familiar with the new local (and petite) magazine called "Industry," you know that it's a hip little publication featuring local arts, entertainment, and nightlife. Each month, they feature a fashion section and this month 4 local bands will be modeling the clothing. Look for their next issue, due in November. Coach Said Not To is one of the featured bands. It promises evening gowns, suits and bus stops...More info to follow about where and when exactly to pick up "Industry." SAY WHAT? Coach Said Not To was interviewed by Winona Daily News in a feature called "Say What?" Each week they feature a different band with an unusual name. Be sure to read our interview with them due out on October 28. Lucky for you, you will won't have to drive to Winona to get a copy - look for it online. DOWNLOAD NEW FREE TRACK In case you missed it, back in early September, Linnea, Eva and Lee did an in-studio interview with Cities 97 host, Jason Nagel, for his Sunday night show, Minnesota Music. In addition, we played a couple songs are happy to announce that our performance of "Shadow Puppets" is available now as a FREE DOWNLOAD. Nate's drumming is obviously absent, but it's an interesting version of the song in a more bare-bones fashion. Steal it, take it, enjoy it - it's yours. ~ Coach Said Not To
