In response to the inquiries we've received, we've posted a brief synopsis of what you're enjoying in the player right now:

Michele Pillar: "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing" is a classic Christmas song delivered uniquely in style by this Grammy Nominated and award winning artist. A true vocalist. Her career spans movies, music, songwriting, theater, and television. And she's also an author!

Chris Eaton: -- "Old Friends" Chris Eaton shares the story behind the song: Sitting alone on a hillside overlooking the Hollywood Hills, I realized how far from home I was. I remembered friends back in England, their faces, their sense of humor, I smiled, but felt lonely. Then I looked up at the big sky. The same stars and moon shine on my family back home. My heavenly Father surrounds me with all good gifts. He is my security, my heartbeat, my best friend.

Staci Frenes
:
"Surprise Me"-- What can get better than this, infectiouis, melodic acoustic pop/rock. "Just when I thought she couldn't get any better, Staci Frenes surprises yet again and delivers a stunning record.  Nothing Short of Amazing is creatively written and produced, with songs that contain deep and mature commentary."  -Margaret Becker

Independence is a gift. However, independence can be lost unless a commitment is made to it. For those of you who've made the commitment and actually posses it, you'll undoubtedly confirm that it takes courage -- a lot of courage. Our highest respect goes out to all of you who've made a commitment to independence. And the dig your heels in come high or hell water determination to refuse acknowledgment of the word, can't.
Independence is challenging, exhausting, overwhelming, frightening, hard-won, motivating, and wonderful...all at the same time. It'll force you to confront your deepest insecurities and your worst fears. It'll give you the fortitude to perform your most dreaded and mundane tasks with dignity and grace. It'll heighten your awareness and appreciation of every small step forward, adding to it even a greater significance to each success and achievement. More often than not, it'll rake you over the coals and knock you on your keester. And when you least expect it, it'll reward you in a multitude of different ways. It'll birth well-deserved confidence and the conviction to say, 'This is my dream, this is my gift, and I'm going to do it.'" And you'll find joy in the least expected places.
Independent artists reflect and shape the minds of our generation and generations to come. Their music is a way of preserving our history as well as creating our identity.
Life is about expression. It is not whether independents become a household name, or not, that defines them as an artist. They are the people who come home from work and go right to their instrument because they 'have to.' They do, because they are. They scribble thoughts and ideas on any scrap paper they find and/or reach for any recording device available so they can capture melodies, harmonies, and rhythms that play in their heads. Instinctively, they can express ideas, thoughts, insight and heart felt reflections in their own unique way that enable others to identify with or perhaps to gain new insight and understanding.
Our vision is to bring attention to the creativity and diversity within the artist community and independents who've made a commitment to independence. Here you'll have the opportunity to familiarize yourself with their music, their artistry, and most importantly -- their stories. And you'll learn from them through both their successes and their disappointments. The insight that these independents willingly share will encourage and motivate you.
It's our hope that you'll be inspired and renewed with a surge of energy to persevere within your own career. And to serve as a constant reminder to never let anyone destroy or rob you of your dreams.
Stay positive,
