Hey Skookumites,
Our friend and bandmate Brad "Shiny" Wilson has decided to leave the band to focus on and pursue his new business venture. We certainly don't want him to go and he will be missed but he's "gotta do what he's gotta do" and we respect that and we all remain friends. Shiny has left a big stamp on our new album "Rockstar Dreamers", co-writing such songs as Bender, Jigsaw, and Great to See you.

The Shiny man is a great writer, player and vocalist and funny guy to have in a band (despite his reputation as intimidator and aggressor, given to fits of freaking out if provoked with too many phone calls ~HAW HAW! - not true). We wish him all the best as he takes a break from playing music to make it in his new business (contact him to be his customer).

Skookum is still moving forward with our new album, live dates, tour plans, more comics, new shirts and new music! We may even announce a new guitarist soon....so stay tuned!

Dear Friends, Fans, Skookumites, and Musical Bretheren,

There has been a loss in the family. Van Man's Mother passed away on Friday.
This has come as a shock to the entire Skookum family, and we all wish him our deepest condolences. In dealing with this loss, I have have seen my brother on the roller coaster of emotions that is to be expected of such a sudden loss. It is said people's character is built out of adversity, and how they handle such curveball's that life will hurl at you constatnly.
I am proud to say I have seen a remarkable strength in this man, and I have seen his support system at work as well. which leads to what is honestly an amazing feat.
I remember when Brett Favre went out on a Monday night, just after learning his Dad had passed on and played the game of his life that evening.
Remarkable yes, but distant, not connected to one personally. Van Man went out last night and had the show of his life.
Now I get it, and appreciate this resolve even more. I know, I was there. As a band we gave the performance of our careers, or at least that is how it felt to me. There was a very special vibe at the show last night. I know Van Man's mom was observing from somewhere, there were a multitude of friends and family, and converts to make the evening that more special.
With such a successful event, we must now take our time to decompress, greive, heal, re-evaluate, contemplate, what have you. Another insight I gained is the true high from performance, and how difficult it is to come down from that.
We hope to have the footage to share with those who could not attend, and to those who were there, a special thanks to each and every individual. Your energy mingled with ours to make an absolutely brilliant evening. I, We love you all.
Blessings to you all,
Shiny
