There is no future. Only now, and what was formerly present. When we reach the future, we can only experience it as the present. One blink and it's slipped past our respective cognitive veils into the murky waters of our subconcious, past, DNA, and creation.

Not quite in the cosmos, not even tierra firma My spirit is rooting forth and budding backwards While ink counselors make worlds of words Strangers teaching in the village and yet remaining unheard Nugriot negros with songs sung by the rope and lynching of tounges are wheeling zero philosophical doughnuts in a parking lot so I drown in the river of hope so the thundering silence of noncreation could kill me not. I lose my feet in the butterfly dance I learn lessons from crying ancestors, the wisest eccolalians, and orouboric mothers who tell me that sometimes you don't have to be marooned on dry land and ignoring phantom limbs you can see doesn't mean they don't exist auditorialy. from first cry to last blood you'll go through more of life's kinks than all the curls in your spiraled hair. to be sonic wonderkinds is our legacy.....

Current mood: bored
Okay, darlings. I'm very sorry to have missed all the lovely holiday greetings!!! I decided at the end of the fall semester, I would take a break from the internet and dive more into real life. I've been working out, I have a new hairstyle (locks), been shopping, picking up job applications, visiting relatives, visiting friends in the little time we have off from work, school, and other responsibilities. Anyway, the force otherwise known as real life has been jerking me around, but I guess in a good way. So I'm cutting down the net to 2-3 times a week, and quite frankly, it's the first day of the first week of the new semester, so I've already used up one session. I want really good grades this semester, like a 4.0 (which really means 3.6 or 3.7, because I NEED A JOB), so I will be spending alot of my time in the library on campus. I also don't have an internet connection at home, but I'm debating on whether to get one. I do like to download music alot but using the universities free connection might not be the best of ideas. Then there is the question of a driver's license. On the job situation, well, I don't have a car but I live not even 2 blocks away from campus...and er, McDonalds and Taco Hell are hiring. Value City too, so I'lll try my luck there. So far, I've been selling old things, donating plasma, working out, and spending my freetime with friends in the month off from school. Also, I hope to have some new pics in the coming month or so, my friend Stefans and Jen are going to on a trip with me so hopefully it'll be fun. I'll be putting things up for sale on ebay, so look forward to that if you care; it'll most likely be old books, my own art, videogames, etc. Last but not least, I am seriously planning a piercing and or tattoo to show off for my b-day in the spring, when I'm in better shape. The tat will most definitely be of my own design, but the piercing I'm not quite sure off, and you can be sure I'm open to suggestions for both. Maybe a lip or nose?? I'm not very fond of eyebrows though nor am I very familiar with the names for all the piercings. I'm adding another pair of studs to my ears. So in conlusion (goddamn this sounds like a paper) the rundown for spring 07 is this: 1. Go to class and study in the library 2. Work out (it's free) 3. Driver's license 4. Employment 5. Study more 6. Sell my wares (not in the, erm, bodily sense) Anyway, I hope you all are doing okay, and I'm thinking about all of you. Blessings and Love.

This article is actually over a year old but I had to post it. I always wanted to take a dna test to see who my ancestors where, and this has shown me that there are so many more who question and seek their roots. I was doing some online research on the African diaspora in North and South America (Latin America especially, is included in the Maafa), and the Indigenous Atrocity. The writer of the article was having trouble accepting the fact that to become closer to his African (among many others) he would have to go through his slave owning European ancestors first. Written in the Blood Any comments people? This is truly open to discussion from all. I love debating. Btw, this is what the writer, Chris Rabb looks like:

Current mood: busy
I have my own apartment!!! Parties! Well....not really. But it's good to have independence. Now I have to find a way to pay the bills. I have money saved up, but that is not enough. I went to go see The Roots in Cleveland at Case Western's auditorium. Excellent show as always. The crew always gives alot of energy. I haven't been to one "lame" show yet. It was my third Saturday night. Now that I think about it, I've seen them every year of college just about. Btw, If you don't have the new album, COP IT!!! They came correct, fa sho. It might not be every one's favorite, but it is definitely a product of the times, como el album de Gnarl's Barkley, "St. Elsewhere." Btw, putas, get that one too. The only real gripe I had was the drunk scenish nerds jumping all over the place. And drunk white kids who couldn't dance. But that's a staple at every show. It was nice to see a sizeable amount of Black attendees there also, given the location. It's usually always a mixed crowd when the band comes to Northeast Ohio. And I saw quite a few Asians and Latinos. Incidentally, the group of drunkards I was near appeared to be Middle Eastern. We got an encore, and the crowd went wild! Probably one of the best I've witnessed live, honestly. Hmm...kinda behind in school assignments. I have been preparing/moving for the past 4 weeks, being generally stressed out, and missed some classes I really shouldn' t have. Thankfully, I've woken up and gotten it together. I also ordered a tablet off Ebay!!!!! And got a buttload of digital painting programs....digital art, here I come. I still desire to focus on traditional works also. Fortunately, my design teacher will take care of that para mi! Ay carrumba. Going to dye my hair once more, then start some dreadlocks, in the next month or so. I need some deep conditioning. I might have Jamaican Mall start them off for me, but I don't know if I can even afford that. I wonder what color I should go for??? Also great news...going to driving school! Ask me later why I don't have my license, it's a long story. Many involving living on campus for too long. Relying on my mother and relatives for too long. Thanks to my sister Nesha for being supportive. Nobody's gonna hold us back, hermanita! Something random I gotta mention. Now that I live in the actual projects, mas o menos, I am subjected to a variety of thrills, abuses, and noises. yay! Like my overly "active" neighbors above. One time this week, I swear I heard rhythmic creaking noises above my bedroom. And you wonder why I'm always playing music. They like to stomp around alot at 4 o clock in the morning. Must be having lots of fun...Also heard one of the most talented whistlers in all my life, to the tune of Outkast's "Spottieottiedopalicious". Now I know alot of you out there are familiar with that joint. The melodic section is deeply syncopated and rhythmic. It's one of my fav songs. Anyway, whoever this person was, had it NOTE FOR NOTE. Sounded like it was atleast a block away, this shit was so loud and clear, I thought it was being played on a radio.....sigh...the wonderful paradigm of an overwhelming talent sprung from the american urban condition. I wish I could have recorded it. Hasta luego, problamente muy muy luego putas, porque soy perezosa. Pero me les encantan.

Current mood: awake
Well, to be honest with you guys, I won't be on the internet for quite sometime now, probably a whole month . My winter break will consist of some mental relaxation and regrouping. I have christmas art-presents to make, along with working and going on a ten day vacation to Florida!!! I'll be visiting my friend Liz. <3. I'm also transferring to Akron U, so if any of you go there now, hit me up! The plans for spring semester is to work and go to school, and do art. That's about it. I needed a new change of pace, since I partied and lazed around too much at Kent State. All is cool though, I have just about all of my LERS done, now, so I can start on a double major with summer classes. I'll probably end up graduating from Akron. I'm gonna go up for my license too. Dorm life is very distracting, and I keep treating it like I'm at a giant slumber party...it's bad. I did exceptionally well in hs, so I think the slacker phase of my life has come to an end. It was alot of fun, but at times I was very unhappy because I felt I should have done better. But still, I have no regrets. Life is Life. I met some interesting people, and actually partied for once in my life. In highschool, I did none of those things, being such a nerd. But alas, I'm feeling nerdy again! With a love of all things cultural and anti-mainstream, I'm ready to make my way into the world, and let people see a different side of life they have never seen before, whether it's me as an black artist that does primarily anime and illustrations, or life as I have learned from my many friends from different backgrounds, so be it. On another random note, I bought a guitar. Lord knows I have always wanted one. I've had a keyboard since 11-10th grade in hs., but I didn't really get into it until I met a friend at Kent that basicaly changed a part of my life. She inspired me to not quell my musical inclinations and go for it. Her name is Liz and she's very talented. Other people who I've met here that have entertained me greatly are Jen aka Boulder Girl, for her wit and charm, she's a bowl full of sarcastic victorian doll chibiness. Lizanne, for her humour and scathing observations, and for just being there. Stefan, for being generally adorable and loving. I know that everytime I see him, he's a sweetheart, even when he's not feeling his best. All of my friends have a sense of adventure and hope, and I pray they never lose it. Back to that guitar thing, yeah, I really want to learn how to play it..I'll have to get one of those self-teaching books or something. Or maybe those cheesy Spanish-guitar videos made by Esteban!! Seriously. The backwoods people in his infomercials are so scary yet amusing at the same time.
