Enchanted Burlesque: Enter The Asylum 2 - Revenge of The Tassels

After a successful re-brand and first show we are back in a new venue for the inevitable sequel. Come join us at The Asylum 2 (formerly The Madhouse Bar) on November 28th 2009 for yet another great night of entertainment.

Tickets are available now from http://www.birminghamburlesque.com at £7.50 per person. Tickets will be £9 on the door subject to availability. Doors open 7:30 pm, show starts 8:30 pm. The show will finish between 10:30 pm and 11 pm. The bar will close at 11:30 pm.

Shortly after 10:45pm on the 8th of August 2009 the Pariah of Gehenna, better known as Gehenna in the Burlesque circuit, died suddenly. The cause of death was a complication of the heart; Gehenna no longer had one.

Shortly before his early death Gehenna lost control of the Birmingham-based Burlesque night, The Silk Stocking Striptease Show to his co-promoter Angel LaVey.

Gehenna died just as he had lived; angry, aggressive and power crazed. Despite repeated attempts at psychotherapeutic intervention the dark monster within would not be tamed; Gehenna was unable to balance his brutal honesty with appropriateness.

On the 8th of August 2009 Gehenna made his Burlesque debut with his co-promoter Angel LaVey. The act did not have a title and so Angel LaVey has named it “The Fall of Gehenna”. A video of the act may become available later.

Those who truly understood him will miss Gehenna terribly.

Angel LaVey and Gehenna are sad to announce that mentallist Paul Brook will no longer appear at Silk Stocking Striptease Show 9. Paul has had a family bereavement. Both Angel LaVey and Gehenna offer their condolences to Paul and his family during this difficult time.

 

Despite the sad times for Paul the show must go on, and so Angel LaVey and Gehenna have dug into their little black books and booked a very talented lady to replace Paul Brook.

 

Step forward Leigh Mon Merringue - a sweet as pie Burlesque performer.

In what can only be described as a coup of epic proportions the Silk Stocking Striptease Show is proud to announce a not quite last minute addition to the line up for our 9th show that will take place on August 8th 2009.

 

Angel LaVey successfully negotiated a contract which did not bankrupt the show. the venue, the other performers and the audience. Angel LaVey also managed to negotiate a rider that didn't need three warehouses and an army of staff to fulfill.

 

Yes... Angel LaVey has booked another first for the Silk Stocking Striptease Show.

 

Angel LaVey has signed the vile promoter and most evil man in Burlesque to make his debut at the 9th Silk Stocking Striptease Show.

 

That's right, the man you love to boo, jeer and heckle will make his Burlesque debut on the 8th of August 2009.

 

Gehenna will make his Burlesque debut.

 

The Silk Stocking Striptease Show wish to apologise to their pattrons as the venue has banned the throwing of rotten fruit and vegetables during Gehenna's act.
