La Petite Nicole has been nominated for best experimental album at the 2009 GAMIQ awards.  

We have a new record.  It's called La Petite Nicole.  It's a story with no words.  About a day in a little girl's life.  At least that's how we imagine it.  It's coming out in stores on March 3rd.  You can order it at alien8.ca .  We are very pleased that we will have vinyl... as well as cds...

Venez voir Torngat en première partie de Karkwa, ce jeudi 9 octobre au Club Soda.

This week, october 9th, Torngat opens for Karkwa at Club Soda.

Hi friends!
 
Just a little note to let you know what we've been up to and what's cooking for the next little while...
 
This week, we're heading down to Austin, TX to play the M for Montreal/Great Escape Showcase at SXSW.  We're performing at Maggie Mae's on Friday March 14th, at 10pm.  Away from the snow at last!
 
On Sunday, we're back in Montreal to play at Divan Orange with our friends, Frootfly.  It's a 5$ show at 9pm.
 
Next week, we play Hull with our friends J'envoie.  The show is at Le Petit Chicago on Saturday March 22nd.
 
Other than that, we're in the process of shooting our video for "Celebrating New".  So far, it's looking good and all we have left to do is shoot the hot air balloon sequence.  Should be fun!  Also, we're preparing our first bunch of European shows.  Woohoo!

Voiçi nos nouvelles du mois de mars 2008:
 
Cette semaine on s'en va à Austin, Texas pour jouer au festival SXSW.  On va faire partie du showcase de M pour Montreal/The Great Escape qui se tiendra vendredi le 14 mars au Maggie Mae's à 22h.
 
Ce Dimanche, on revient du Texas pour jouer au Divan Orange avec nos amis Montréalais, Frootfly.  Le show coute 5 piasses et commence à 21h.
 
Samedi le 22 mars, on joue à Hull au Petit Chicago avec nos amis du Gatineau, J'envoie.
 
À pars les shows, on est en train de finir notre vidéo pour "Celebrating New".  Il nous reste qu'à filmer la séquence des montgolfières....  WOOHOO!  Aussi, on prépare notre première petite tournéee Européenne pour le mois de mai.

Ladies and Gentlemen, we present to you You Could Be, torngat's third recording (recorded in a rennovated barn last August).  The cd will be available in stores on Tuesday, September 18th, and on Wednesday, September 19th, we invite all of you to join us for our cd release party here in Montreal at the Sala Rossa.  The show is 10$ in advance (available at Cheap Thrills, Casa de Popolo, L'oblique...) and 12$ at the door.  A.J. Penna +/or Virgins no Cargo is opening the night starting at 9pm.  For those of you who do not live in Montreal, check our shows listing to see if we're coming near you.
