So - you haven't heard anything new from us for a long time.

Why?

Well, after our gigs in London last Christmas we all returned to our respective universities to carry on doing what we were doing. Since Christmas the three of us haven't been in the same room together more than 2 or 3 times due to commitments all over the place.

Right now, James and I have just finished flat hunting in London - eventually, successfully. I'm stuck in Shrewsbury for another week and James has gone to Spain for two weeks to live it up and learn more Spanish. Alex is in Mongolia. No really. Then Malaysia. He's not back until October.

So, from October onwards the three of us will finally be living in the same city. Which is cool. I just hope that we will get the chance to write more music. If any of you are interested, Alex is going to be slaving a way at a medical degree that he doesn't really want, James will be back to uni starting a new course in Hispanic studies and I will be working a real proper job. Actually, that's what I'm occupying myself with at the moment - job hunting. Trying to find something that pays loads of cash but at the same time gives me plenty of free time to see my mates and make music and such is a pretty hard task. If anyone knows of anything... haha

BUT

There's still plenty of stuff going on around us to keep us occupied. You may have noticed a couple of remixes going up on our player over the past few months. We put out a pretty open call to all our friends on myspace to anyone who wanted to do remixes. We've have some good, some not so good and some amazing ones. There's lots that we haven't made public yet and still more in the works. The hope is (I think) to try and put these on some sort of release in the near future.

And, James and I have have been sitting on my sofa playing around with synths and drums and things like that. Anyway, what we've come up with is nowhere near a finished product, nor are any of the tracks complete but it's a rough sketch of things to come from me and him. Of course, were not giving up on the H&NS, its just going to take us a bit of time to work everything out.

And that's about it.

I've got to get back to job hunting.

I’ve just realised that the "1212 session" track that was on our player until just now was the rough take from our first ever jam two years ago! We rerecorded the track a couple of summers ago and it’s available on vinyl through Dancing Turtle Records and as a download through A Future Without.

What exciting times! I woke up yesterday morning and for some reason I checked my email only to find an MP3 of the new Head and Neck Sessions YPPAH remix!! I am really happy with track and honoured that Joe took the time to come up with it. YPPAH is signed to Ninja Tune and has an album out so check it out.
