I did this video as a loop for the upcoming 2009 JFK Lancer conference in Dallas for them to play at the registration area and between speakers. It is my first attempt at video production. I hope that you will watch this and listen to the words. Still very pertinent today.

Well, folks, its been a busy month even though I haven't really had any "gigs" booked....

I was asked to help out on a video production for the JFK Lancer(myspace) organization by my friend and colleague, Joey Granati, titled "The Torch is Passed"(Blog on the making of "The Torch is Passed"). In the process, I was then asked by the organization's president, Sherry Fiester, to do a 10 minute looping video for use at the registration area and to be played between speakers. I finished the preliminaries on the project in two days. My first attempt at video production and I think I did pretty well. My next effort for them will be some You Tube placements as promotional material for drumming up support and attendance at the conference.I'll be designing a Facebook page also.  The above link will take you to the myspace page.

My Mom, Janet, and I will be travelling to Dallas in November to go to the annual conference for the JFK Lancer organization, where I will be working with the sound and video production at the event.  The history is fascinating, and I look forward to some Mom/Daughter time.  We were planning a trip to Florida, then this came up...we did Florida already 2 years ago, and poor Florida will never be the same...the only thing I'm worried about is if she finds an IHOP near the hotel...I'll never get her out of there!  I'm also searching for sports bars that we will be able to watch the Steeler game at...in ENEMY TERRITORY! LOL If anyone has a suggestion of a Dallas Steeler bar, please let me know!

Anyway.... it is an honor to be asked to do this work for this organization, and to be invited to the conference. I'm looking forward to meeting many interesting people, learning a bit along the way, and using the skills I've developed to make it a success.

I've also been asked to add my voice to "The Torch Is Passed" in the ending harmonies. This is very humbling for me, because of the historical significance of this piece of music. Wow.

I will also be performing the National Anthem at the opening of the ceremony at Dealey Plaza on Sunday, November 22.  THIS truly is an honor.

Please go to JFK Lancer (website) to find out what they are doing.  It's not just another "conspiracy site".  The history and documentation of JFK's life and work as well as that of his brother Robert is eye opening and quite timely in today's history being made as we watch. Thanks again for your confidence in me Sherry,Debra, Joey, and JFK Lancer. I'll do my best.

Oh, yeah, I'll be starting up production on a promotional video for the Granati "School of Rock" soon, as well as Dave World Studio, and maybe I'll get some time to actually start work on the next CD at some point......

I will be at the BBT on 10/13 for open stage where another of my friends and colleagues, Ron Soltis, will be featured performer.  Ron is a talented songwriter in his own right, so come down and hear a rare, acoustic, original half hour set ! Also, yeah, I'll be playing during the open stage, and if you are an acoustic artist, originals or covers, come on down, too!

Even with all of this, I am still looking for solo, duo, trio or full band gigs in the Pittsburgh area....all references appreciated!

Be blessed with every breath!

Ya know. I have been doing this a long time. Music, and living.

I go thru my life only trying to make the best of what is given to me.  I appreciate all the friends I have, thank God for them every day, and bust my tail to get the songs I have in my heart out into the world. I bask in the light of pure enjoyment when I'm playing, and revel when I get to join my friends in music to do what I love most.  Its a blessing.

Yet, there are those with a petty nature, disturbed psyche, and who glow green with jealous envy.  They make it a point in life to make others miserable only because they cannot find their own joy any other way.  They don't think that I find the personal affronts online, but I do.  Today's made me laugh so hard, only because I know all of the reasons behind the insults.  I have a happy heart, most of the time, and try to let the stuff roll off my back like water off a duck.  The initial gut feeling of a few nasty thoughts quickly passes into a feeling of pity. I feel sad for anyone who has to live vicariously through others because they have no life of their own.  Unrealistic aspirations.  There's nothing wrong with aspiring to something. But when it turns into obsession, psychotic obsession, its unhealthy, harmful and dangerous. This person needs help. Pray for them that they receive it.  Soon.

I won't quote them, mention names, or where to find these affronts that were dished out.  That only catalyzes the fire that drives this person.  And they won't out themselves, if they do it would be admitting to a problem.  I put a stop to some of it a few weeks ago. Obviously I may have to do it again.  But in the meantime I'm just gonna pray for this person to let go of their anger, their hate, their jealousy, their obsessive behavior, and let the Lord into their heart to heal it. To stop making excuses, blaming others for their problems and clean up the mess they have obviously made of their own lives. We all have outside things that effect our lives for the good and for the adverse. It is how we deal with those circumstances that determines the outcome and effect on us.

And, my friends who are aware what this is all about, please do not contact this person about it or if you feel a need to comment, please do not mention names. As much as the petty side of me would love to personally rip this person apart sometimes, it is below me to do so, and against my better judgement, and just generally bad karma.

If this person does happen to read this, all I can say is may God go with you through life to turn it around.  My patience is long, but not endless.  I've done nothing to you personally. In fact, I've only ever spoken to you once, you complimented my music and I said thank you. Get over whatever problem you have and move on with your life. For your own sake.
