Hey Ya'll, Whats a frugalista? Someone who is cheap? Someone who is thrifty? A little eccentric? Mostly all of the above. We just do it with style. I spent the weekend with a fellow frugalista. I had no idea when I went to visit that I was going to find a kindred spirit. What a lovely garden she had. We ate food grown there. Shopping all day. Hunting for bargains. Anyhoo...What a joy that was. I got this bright idea that we are not alone so I thought I would blog it. I give you some background on me and what I do just incase you are in the closet about your frugal ways. I have heard all the slurs; cheap; tight; crazy. I run an animal business, Mata Hari Animal Brokers www.myspace.com/mataharianimals and work part-time for Pizza Hut. I see so much stuff out at the curb while driving around. I save plants and anything of value. I sometime see things and try to think up another use for them. I then go back and throw them in my truck. Best example is cutting up old blinds to make labels for my plants. I seem to constantly trying to find ways to reduce trash and reuse thangs. I recycle, conserve, compost etc. So if you too are a frugalista embrace it and share it with us!

So you are wondering why I asked ya'll to be our friend..well..its like this:
I don't have a record label..I don't have big bucks for some PR company. I have a PC and a MySpace account. I'm trying to get it out there without any of that. Trying to get on Logo(check out video). Can't sit back and wait for ya'll to find me. I browse a few hundred peeps a week. Some become friends some don't. If you listen and like it maybe you will tell a friend. Maybe you will add a song or video to your profile. I do know that nothing will happen if you never hear me, so I try to get you here!
I'm not stalking anyone just having fun!
Love,
Patti B.

Hey Ya'll,
I came here this morning with a queer idea...when I grew up in Actionville I bet I knew every lesbian there. It seemed like it anyway. So this morning I thought I"d browse through that zip code in my age group and try to find old friends. OMG there are so many of you! If I asked you to be my friend and you know me PLEASE let me know!
I went to N.B. Forrest, I'm a musician. I worked at the zoo and UPS. Went to Fla Junior College too. I worked at The Mighty Little Dude as well.
Can wait to find some long lost friends!
Love,
Patti B.

So...Fear is fuck everything and run! Fear is forgetting everything is alright! Fear is the mind killer. Fear is the Enemy Within. Fear kills!
Try this. Lie down. On the floor, in your bed on the couch whatever. Relax..Take a big deep breath. Relax. I said relax. Check yourself out. You are still resisting the floor, couch or bed. Do you feel like the floor is suddenly going to give way? Is the bed or couch about to fall apart?Try again. Relax really relax. Still can't do it can you? What are you afraid of.......
Fear will keep you from your dreams, goals, loves, creativity, etc.. Fear will separte you from all that is so that you feel separate rather than a part of. Fear keeps your ego alive so it can keep you from feeling, living and being the truth. Fear is the soul stealer. What are you afraid of?

Hey Ya'll,
I woke this morning and for a few minutes I thought I was living in a bad Sci Fi book. Yeah so bad it wasn't even made into a movie. Oh wait maybe is was...1984.
My problem is that I am soon to be 52. T.V. was black&white, phones were rotory, the internet didn't exist, gas was a quarter and so were cigarettes. Now it is so different yet the same. Here is my truth.
We have everything we need. I have everything I need. Those are my new mantras. I can grow all the food I need. We can grow all the food we need. Our government and the governments of other countries try to keep us scared of each other. If they can do that they have all the control. We willling give them all the control. At home they keep us separated by issues that are not issues at all. Do you really think the Latino man looking for work at Home Depot is the reason you can't get the job you want? Do you really think he is causing the high price on gas and therefore every other commodity that requires transportation? Do you really think the legality of abortion is worth the separation? Gay rights? Civil rights? Healthcare? When they can't convince us to hate a common enemy they get us to hate each other. It is all about control.
I know being born in America is the greatest blessing of all. I often say just being born in the U.S. is like winning the Lottery. That doesn't mean we can't improve it. . Everyone wants to be happy and to prosper, so why all the hate. Before you give an opinion on the issues of the day try thinking it through to make sure it is your opinion.
Love,Patti B.

In 1955 Elvis appeared on the Ed Sullivan show. My parents watched as he made TV history.
My mom always told me that Elvis was my father. As a kid I didn't really understand but I went along with her because I liked Elvis, (what is not to like?)When we would listen to him she would always remind me.
When I got older she explained. When Elvis was on the Ed Sullivan show she became aroused and jumped my father. In her mind my dad was Elvis. So that is the story of my conception. Destined to be a rocker.
(Now I'm sure there are some folks out there that might try to find out if the time lines fit. I was born on February 1, 1956. If you find out this was all some lie I DON'T WANT TO KNOW. This is the way my mother told it so it is the way I want to remember it.)
So that is the beginning!
