Looking for something to do this weekend? Margot has 2 shows!

We'll be playing tonight (Friday the 13th) at the Meridian with Marcy Playground (yes, the Sex & Candy band), The Ride Home, and While You Were Gone. Show starts at 7!!!

We'll also be playing Sunday afternoon at the Westheimer Block Party. We're playing at 1:30 on the Number's Indoor Stage. This is a last minute switch for us, so please come out and watch us. I believe the Block Party is free during the afternoon, so come out and have some fun!!!

Hope to see you this weekend!

Margot is Back....

After over 2 years of silence, we’re thrilled to announce that Margot is back in action. Admittedly, we all thought that Margot was dead once and for all, but like Freddy Krueger or Jason Voorhees, she refuses to die.

So, why has Margot been gone for so long? In a word, “life.” From getting married and having kids to just being lazy old men, any number of reasons can be attributed to the lengthy break. But what’s important now is the break is over and we’re ready to make up for lost time.

Our immediate plans include playing shows and recording our new songs. Speaking of playing shows, our comeback show is on August 22 at The Mink. We’ll be playing with our good friends in Co-Pilot and Closet Drama (from Austin). Again, this is our first show in over 2 years, so we’d love it if you can make it out. Doors open at 9, and the show starts around 10. We’ll be playing second.

To celebrate our comeback, we’re going to be offering a free download of our 2006 album I Want to Be What Destroyed the Dinosaurs within the next few days. Keep your eyes peeled as we’ll be posting the link to the download very soon.

We hope to see you on August 22 at The Mink. Stay tuned for more updates over the coming days.

We've been working on a lot of new material lately. We have written  new songs that aren't on our demo and we plan to record again soon. The recording will probably be about 7 or 8 songs, and hopefully it will kill you. As for right now though, we have a couple of songs that you can download from our myspace, so do it!

We are also making some new merch in the very near future. For all of you ladies that were disappointed in the lack of girly-fitting shirts, we will soon have plenty for you to choose from. There will be plenty of other goodies coming soon as well, you know, all that jazz.

Also, we are booking a lot of shows right now. We're planning a sort of mini-tour through Texas and maybe Louisianna soon. If anyone knows of any shows in Austin, San Antonio, Dallas, Baton Rouge, New Orleans or any other big city please let us know. Even if the mini-tour doesn't come through we're still booking a lot more out of town shows. Again, if you have any hook-ups swing them our way.

LATER!

Tour is over and we had a blast. We met lots of cool people, drove across atleast 5 or 6 states, played with many cool bands, made a few fans, and have lots of great stories. Thanks to everyone who made such a last minute tour happen for us. It was unforgettttable.
