The CMJ show will be at The Trash Bar (256 Grand Ave, Brooklyn) on Tues, Oct. 20th and CTS plays at 11:30pm. The CMJ/Blast Radius Vol. 2 CD Release Party will be at Bar Matchless (557 Manhattan Ave, Brooklyn) on Sat, Oct. 24th and will feature other Blast Radius affiliated artists: Bonnie Baxter, Mon.Key.Pod and Surefire. Staring at 8pm.

Ransom, The Gay Blades, Bottle Up and Go, Surefire, The Party Faithful, Bot, Viva Mayday, and Reckless Sons)
So
postpone your vacations, fly your private jet into Brooklyn or switch

busy CMJ schedule, cause these 2 shows are going to ROCK. Plus, we haven't seen you all in a while, and we've missed the hell out of you.
*In other news, Change the Station debut CD, Follow the White Noise, was selected to be one of the "indie artist" CD's on www.insound.com
later this month, and will be one of the featured bands for insound's print
page in the L Magazine's Music issue, coming out this week, so
keep an eye out for that.
and finally check out this recent review: "If
I was in the band, which I am, I would be at every Change the Station
show, and purchase their music on itunes to help support their drinking
habits." -Ian Jacobs of Change the Station
see you next week.

Change the Station is taking part in a really awesome Compilation CD called: BLAST RADIUS featuring some of our favorite fellow brooklyn-ites....
We've recorded a new song for the CD called "Black Heart" which you can check out on our page... or you can come and get a free copy of BLAST RADIUS at the release party, one week from tonight: Thursday, Jan. 29th... @ Public Assembly... and although CtS will not be performing at the show Ian Jacobs will be wrapping up the night with a DJ set after five bands melt your faces, so you can dance the night away and call in sick to work the next morning. Should be a great party.
You can see alot more details about the new compilation and the release party at: www.myspace.com/blastradiusnyc
*we also have some shows of our own coming up, *and our music video will be done by the end of next month. So keep up with us. See you in your future. -*CtS*

Hello myspacers. *So this past weekend we shot our first music video, (for our song My Will)... and it was probably one of the coolest thing that we have ever been a part of. Our good friend, and director, Michael Vidoli, turned us into James Bond-esque, Rock n' Roll ninjas over the weekend. The whole thing was pretty bad-ass. The outfits, guns, fight scenes, cars, stunt drivers, makeup, lighting... He had it all on lock-down, and we can't wait to show you all the finished cut in a few months.
*Also Change the Station got an interview and a little 2 page spread in NYC's U Groove Magazine. U Groove is published by NYC's Show Entertainment Group, and the article was the result of a show that we performed at, sponsored by SEG last month. Anyways the article is a pretty cool little snippet of what we are all about. You can pick up U Groove Mag. at tons of venues all around the city: (Irving Plaza, Crash Mansion, Public Assembly, The Trash Bar, Fontana's, Matchless, Spike Hill, Bar Rose, Rock Wood Music Hall, and The Bitter End.) Let us know what you think of it, when you do.
Ok, thats all for now... see you all soon, in '09... be good. *CTS*

Just a quick reminder that our CMJ Showcase is tomorrow, Wed the 22nd @ The Trash Bar in Brooklyn. We would like to see you all there. Change the Station plays at 8:30 and there is an OPEN BAR (pabst and al well drinks) from 8-9. Trash Bar is located off of the bedford L train at 256 grand Avenue (btwn driggs and roebling). Sounds Under Radio, Nakatomi Plaza, Arkadelphia, and Carlon will also perform at the showcase. ----------------------------- ---Also the Deli magazine has been digging CTS left and right. *We got chosen to be one of the 26 bands that will have their showcase reviewed live, by the Deli Magazine's CMJ Music Marathon Reviews... so there will be some press at the show. *and Our CD, "Follow the White Noise", got reviewed in the brand spankin' new fall issue. Of course we encourage you to pick on up to see the print, but here is the full review:
"As electro seized air waves, Change the Station embraces a sound that fuses alternative rock and electronic elements, contributing to an era in which Indie bands have brought the synthesizer to yet a new level. Although the band seems to be influenced by a variety of genres, the best face of Change the Station lies in the darker of songs like "Sew It Up" shaped by the pounding drums ad Ian Jacobs' ominous tones, which seem to embody the bands' genuine personality."
cool... see you manana. your friends, *change the station*

hello all. we are back in NYC. So the tour was freaking amazingly awesome-ness! we really had the time of our lives out on the road for 2 weeks. We have soooo many people to thank who helped us along the way on our tour, so if you hooked us up with a gig, or a place to sleep, or came out to a show, or bought a CD, or fed us... THANK YOU>!!!
Also the tour finale Sat. night at Mercury Lounge was an absolute highlight of the tour for us. The crowd was awesome and we really played one of our best shows of the entire trip. Pretty soon you will be able to judge that for yourself though, since we have documented every single show from the tour and the videos will be on the way soon.
Moving forward, we will be taking the rest of august off to write some new material, make a music video for "my will", and push the album around a little (speaking of which you can purchase "Follow the White Noise" on itunes now!!!).
So again thanks so much to everyone who came out to the show Saturday night, you guys made our night!! and make sure to check out the album on itunes if you don't own it yet. And there are tons of new pics up on our myspace page from the tour and the mercury show... so check that out too!
later. Ian / Lisa / Michelle *CTS*
