Jessica Rockwell -- booked and shot a possible recurring role on Fuel TV's "The Daily Habit"

Kayla Collins -- hosted and celebrated her birthday party at the hot club, Apple

Spencer Scott -- hosted and celebrated her birthday at nightclub, ONE Sunset

Kari Ann Peniche -- hosted the launch party for MyClubScene dot com at Club Sutra in Orange County.  Then 2 nights later, held a fashion show at the new hip club CODE in Newport Beach for her "Strung Out Girl by Peniche" fashion line along with the Paris Hilton shoe collection!  After that, she spent the rest of the month shooting VH1's new Celebrity Rehab (Sex Edition). 

Melissa Bacelar -- booked and shot the role of Shawnee in the feature film, "Kindling"

Lacey Mael -- booked and shot a State Farm commercial AND booked and shot 2 days on "I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant" series - very good and busy month for Lacey!

Katy Johnson -- hosted and celebrated her 21st birthday party at club Ecco

Amber Buell -- hosted and celebrate her birthday party at Pussycat Lounge in Scottsdale, Arizona (along with The Amber Show's co-host Amber Meade)

Melissa Martinez -- hosted and celebrated her birthday party at club Aqua in Beverly Hills

Sarah Coggin -- she booked and shot a Wakeboarding segment for Fuel TV and hopes to be doing more Fuel TV hosting in the future!!

Hook Jaw Net Radio -- celebrated it's ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY with a special 2 hour show on April 3rd, which can be heard at any time now on iTunes!  Just go to your iTunes and click on podcasts in your iTunes store.  Then type in Hook Jaw Net Radio and you can download the show for FREE!  All of them, or whichever broadcasat you want (all for free).  The second year ahead plans to have even bigger and better things!!

April was another hectic month, with alot of birthdays being booked to coincide with hosting nightclubs!!  It seems to be a growing trend during these slower times.  Unfortunately, alot of drama unfolded during the taping of Kari Ann Peniche's VH1 show that took Ted out of commission for some time.  Things unfold in front of everyone's eyes on the show as we'll see in the fall.

Summer is around the corner and keep a look out for Maier clients popping up in shows like VH1's Charm School 3 and in the movie theaters as the next rendition in the American Pie series will star client, Simona Fusco!

Alot of changes took place in the month of April and many more changes are ahead for Maier Management... possible expansion?  possible merger?  some new high profile clients??  We will see....

Darrow Igus -- booked the new NBC hit, "SOUTHLAND" as a Co-star character

Brandon Dean -- booked a Co-Star role on the new FOX hit show, "Lie To Me"

Jason "Heat" Rosell -- celebrated his birthday by hosting hot Hollywood club, Social

Kari Ann Peniche -- celebrated her birthday by going to Las Vegas and hosting club MOON at the Palms!  Also, VH1 was on hand to document her for the upcoming continuation of the series hit, Celebrity Rehab: Sex Edition.

Hook Jaw Net Radio -- went up on iTunes where you can listen and download all of their shows beginning March 6, 2009.  Also, you can now listen to Ted Maier every week on the segment called, "Maier Minute" usually following the featured guest of the night.


March was a slower month than usual, a sign of the bad economy and lingering possible SAG strike (still).  Alot of film productions are at a halt and many TV pilots didn't go into casting or production either.  Talks of mergers of HUGE agencies are in the works as well as some long time accomplishe agencies closing it's doors (Irene Marie in Miami and several more in NYC).  But with that said, there's even more reality TV programming than ever and we are trying to build off of that.  Ted has been heavily involved in the shooting of Kari Ann Peniche's VH1 show and it'll be interesting to see how that turns out.

Katy Johnson -- booked and shot the lead role of "Sophie" in the SAG feature film, "Nightfall"

Jack Forbes -- shot a 2 day Co-Star on the new ABC show, CASTLE !!  His second episodic booking in as many auditions.

Darrow Igus -- booked a Co-Star on the new show, "Southland"

Melissa Martinez / Kelsey Lee / Marcia Brazil -- their VH1 show, "Rock of Love Bus (III)" is a big hit as, Marcia then Kelsey, made their exits during the month of February.

Jason "Heat" (now Caliente) Rosell -- is tearing it up on VH1's "I Love Money 2" the entire month of February.  See how he pans out in March.

DJ Colleen Shannon -- DJ'd the Playboy Mansion for the Super Bowl party before Brett Michaels performed after the game.  Jason "Heat" attended the party as well.

Ashlee Ricci -- Made an appearance at Foxtail Nightclub as MISS MYSPACE of the YEAR 2009!!

FEBRUARY was a quick and short month... the second half of which, Ted was sick.  But still, Maier Management was in charge of helping put together the first TMA Oscar viewing party, which went well and was attended by over 500 people.  Thank you Ashley Campbell for volunteering and for all those who attended (invite only).  Jacque upgraded her car, as many of you may have seen.  A few more reality stars have been added to the roster, as we still brace for a possible SAG strike ahead.  Neither side is budging.  But we had some GREAT series regular auditions lately which is a sign of some good bookings to come soon!

Jane Yamamoto -- booked and shot a Co-Star role on both FOX's PRISON BREAK and FOX's LIE TO ME!!!  She plays an anchorwoman on Prison Break and a reporter on Lie To Me, which she's an expert at since you see her on Fox 11's 10 o'clock news nightly here in Los Angeles!

Jack Forbes -- booked and shot a 2 day Co-Star on the new ABC show, CASTLE !!  His second episodic booking in as many auditions.

Emma Bing -- shot both the commercial and print for a new Toy company website.

Zakary Risinger -- shot his second episode of "I Didn't Know You Were Pregnant".  His second job in as many months.

Zhubin Rahbar -- booked and shot his first job with us, "Free Radio" starring Lance Krall.

Shannon Stewart -- booked 2 appearances in Las Vegas at nightclubs: PURE and LAX as one of the sexiest Playboy Playmates.

Heather Rene Smith -- booked 2 appearances in Las Vegas at nightclubs: PURE and LAX as one of the sexiest Playboy Playmates.

Stephanie Larimore -- booked 2 appearances in Las Vegas at nightclubs: PURE and LAX as one of the sexiest Playboy Playmates.

Spencer Scott -- booked the print ads for the Las Vegas appearances, but could not make the actual events.

Melissa Martinez / Kelsey Lee -- their VH1 show, "Rock of Love Bus (III)" started airing this month and will continue on through March.  Melissa made an appearance at a premiere episode party at Vice Hollywood.

Ashlee Ricci -- WON MISS MYSPACE of the YEAR 2009!!  You should be seeing more of her in the months to come.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE!!!!!


JANUARY was slightly a hectic month as Jacque and I had to be out of town at different times for over half of it.  But we managed to stay super busy and did alot of work that should pay off in the months to come (ie. pilot / TV / movie submissions).  With the economy being down and still the possible SAG strike looming, it's easy to be very fearful of the future ahead.  BUT, we did usher in a new president and everyone seems to be positive at working hard to make things happen on the upswing this year!  We are no different, as Maier Management made some moves and changes to help us in this bad economy.  We've downsided our Beverly Hills office to be a practical virtual office and we're in the works still at making some other areas of the business grow.

In the last week of January and first week of February, we've had 6 of our actors appear in major network primetime TV shows!!  Not to mention, the reality shows beginning to air also.  Let's hope one of our Playmates can win PMOY 2009!

Jason "Heat" Rosell -- was announced that he'll be starring in the next VH1 installment of "I Love Money 2" / it's set to start airing Monday, Feb. 2

Julie Kristine Borneman -- Co-starring in a Ryan Seacrest production for NBC's, "MOMMA'S BOYS" which started airing in December and continues through January.  Check it out on NBC Monday's and root for Julie


The normally slow DECEMBER wasn't really the case at Maier Management as a bunch of auditions and great bookings occured!!  A good end to an up / down year.  With the economy so bleek, we are fortunate to still have clients who book and still bring us publicity as well.
The potential SAG strike is still looming as the vote has been delayed in order to get the "AWARD SHOW" season in without drama.  As much as we cannot afford a strike, I am still in favor of the actors getting the right compensation as the "talent" end of the spectrum has been getting screwed for years now.  SAG and it's members need to show some balls and strike so that we can actually all feel good about making a living for years to come.  10% of $100 / day low budget crap isn't going to make the mortgage payments.
Anyways, hope everyone had a GREAT HOLIDAY SEASON and have recovered from their New Year's festivities!!  It's 2009 now and time to GO MAKE IT!!!

Irina Voronina -- She did her last and final 2008 St. Pauli Girl appearance in Miami, Florida

Ashlee Ricci-- booked and appeared as the celebrity host at the Bond Lounge in Houston, Texas

Megan Hauserman and Brandi Cunningham (of VH1's Charm School, I Love Money and Rock of Love)-- both made the Thanksgiving Weekend appearance in Hampton, Virginia at McFadden's Bar

Chandler Maness -- he's still appearing on episodes of Oxygen Network's "The  Janice Dickenson Agency, show.

Jason "Heat" Rosell -- went off to shoot a new show ( can not say at this time ) and returned back to say that it's "going to be GOOD" !!

NOVEMBER came and went quickly as it's a shorter month due to the holiday Thanksgiving week at the end.  But we still managed to stay busy getting some great opportunities and bookings.  SAG has called for a STRIKE VOTE sometime this month and it looks as if a strike is on the horizon.  Of course, a YES vote has to pass in order for strike to happen.  We are prepared either way and we're staying positive going into the holidays!  It's tough times like these that we have to "bite the bullet" and take jobs we can and not be too greedy.  But with that said, we're still gunning for high standards like we always do and expect to do well no matter what.

If a SAG strike does happen, we are probably going to have to downsize our roster and focus on our models, reality stars and commercial actors.  But let's not forget that AFTRA will still be working and they're roster of TV shows keep growing!

By January, we should know more of the fate of SAG... till then, HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!!!  The annual Maier Management Holiday party will take place Saturday, December 13, 2008 at the extremely swank and popluar FIREFOX bar and lounge!!
