These four unlikely lads have been together since February 2006. Hailing from Essex, Newcastle, Edinburgh & St Andrews (meeting in Sunny Leith) My Tiny Robots are Dylan Childs, Russell Williams, Ryan Marinello and Hugh Fox. Dylan and Russell formed after the split of their previous band, recruiting new multi-instrumentalist Ryan after the departure of John the Wise. This was considered to be a fine move due to his ability to play any instrument they handed him, sadly his reluctance to do so resulted in him handling just guitar and keyboard. The most recent addition is Hugh Fox, human beat box.

Sonically, My Tiny Robots could be described at times as a shark riding on an elephants back, just trampling and eating everything they see, and at others as a chiming guitar, synth laden underwater struggle between James Bond and Jacques Cousteau fighting over a Kit Kat. MTR make music where no two songs sound the same and find it hard to describe their music. MTR hope to make honest and interesting pop music based on guitars, drums, analogue keyboards and vocals. In these listed devices they try to achieve melody that is resonant & heartfelt.
 
Physically My Tiny Robots could be seen as imposing as both Russell & Ryan are well over 6ft tall. However Dylan & Hugh are average sized laddies, thus giving balance, like stabilisers on whatever a tandem bike for 4 people would be called.
