What if all the power players, legends, religious leaders, leaders of nations and Gods themselves are just the kind of shysters and degenerate hustlers I see in the real underbelly world? i think this is called ambivalence. America really seems to be the country, maybe since ancient Rome, that has taken show business as it's core concept.

I wrote a song "I'm so miserable... only to find out it was already written." 

met up with a few friends today and got some intense perspectives.

   one lady who lost 3 girlfriends the same year. like they died. perspective.

i'm totally ate up with it. i'm trying to stay busy and not think but how the fuck can you write and not think?

   how does some music bypass the thinking part of the brain and go right to the soul?

   The real goods come from the instincts i think.i mean don't think. where does that leave us?

it's not tomorrow. i wrote snake skin boots last night. i've never had any.

   New Orleans moment yesterday when I met some friends at the free! pensacola jazz fest to see rebirth brass band. my pal jeff and his 16 yr. old nephew loved it. eric, the nephew, plays all the brass instruments and i wanted him to dig the brass from treme. he was astounded and really blown away by the trumpeters improvising together in real time. loved it, i was proud.

   irrelevant to him and apparently to the announcer and festival people was the fact that it was the Soul Rebels who performed the show. They even sang "soul rebels" during st. james infirmary. sweet.
