I must say it's been a long time since I have been this excited to go on a tour... but in 3 weeks myself and my January Avalanche Project will be on the road to San Francsico for a week of cools shows.

The first few shows will feature the acoustic Avalanche sounds of myself and my good friend and amazing guitarist Rado (see him at http://myspace.com/rado1)...
Then the full band comes up from San Diego to finish off the tour with a full Avalanche showing at the Presidio Yacht Club...

We are honored to be doing a co-bill with the Talented and dynamic Jerry Hannan....

It's going to be an amazing night to cap off my other home the Great city of San Francisco.... spread the word to friends and friends of friends.... do not miss the Avalanche in Northern Cali!

                                                Separation.

My Imagination... My warped world... My neurotic tendencies.
These things they are not.
I can taste it, I can feel it, It's real.
In your faces, in my walk, in your sighs, in your eyes.

the something that happened, didn't make an appearance and dissapaear
It's still here...
Every sun rising, every eye shutting moment.. moments of dispair, Moments of Mass confusion.

We the People.. WE THE PEOPLE??????
We are no longer the WE, we have seperated from such dear things...


Believe me, I thought it of things in dreams.
BUt these things are not of the state of REM,
But the state of our society, our people, our selves, the world.

A separation has occured between our selves and those things that truly are right,
A separation has occured between what we should be doing and what we want to be doing.
Of one instance or occurence this is not to blame, but 8 or so years of a slow leak in our hearts and our minds.

our fault it's not, it has been forced amongst those who don't care but WANT the separate....



Believe me it is there, wake to it,
The pain of separation is overwhelming as the stench of foul nightmares we run from , Run , Run , Run from this we cannot
SEe it, Believe it.

Perhaps with the waking of the realization of the separate lines that have been drawn only will change come.

He said be the change we want to see, she said if there is a march for peace, there I will be.

But from  these beautiful words and spirits separated we be.......

A Separation has occurred between standing up for the right and walking about in a haze
a Separation has occured, we are all guilty of
When will the distance between be too great to go back?????

See the separation, and it will go away, till then, What fears are in dreams of the wrong kind, will become our reality in  no time.

Well the time of pre productin is over and full production and recording of the album have begun!.
I am beyond lucky to have the most amazing band to lay down tracks and not to speak of an amazing proudcer/engineer.

The creative process is beyond anything I could have imagined... having recorded with so many people in my career so far and having done a couple of demos in the past.... there is nothing like working FINALLY on my own full length album...
I am elated..... (can you tell?)

The album will for sure be an expression of varied sounds and influences, very much like my life... and some very special people will be on these tracks.. so stay tuned!

Much details and snippets of songs to come, but thank you to all for your inquiries and support and I am hoping for at latest a December release of the album.

The universe and it's timing never ceases to amaze me.
I had something amazing happen to me last night that I thought I'd share in this perspective....

I went to watch the second pirates movie, having had a "bad week" feeling like crap .

 

because of some personal stuff I have been dealing with including still trying to figure out what happened a year ago with Lisa, the girl I was going to marry who "left me for no reason never to be heard of again".... that in addition to the fact that my lifeblood, my electric violin , the one thing I can't live without broke at a gig Wednesday night and I was feeling like shit trying to figure out what I will do without my performance instrument as I await to hear from the Violin shop on its prognosis (feeling like I had a kid at the hospital really sick)  thinking I have to cancel gigs ect ect... basically feeling sorry for myself...

I was feeling pretty crappy and decided to go to the movies to get away.....

The synchronicity began as the movie finished and the escape was gone and I was back to feeling low...
and as I am walking out the theater door I literally remember saying to the universe "give me something .....ANYTHING....."

well what happened next was certainly no accident, and showed that ASK and you SHALL receive......

As I'm about to exit the 16 movie complex, out of the swarms of people there and coming in... like a moment frozen in time.... I happen to notice a man sweating and obviously shaken coming out of a movie running up to the local 15 year old movie ticket person yelling SUGAR I NEED SUGAR DO YOU GUYS HAVE ANY SUGAR the 15 year old not really gripping the dire situation this man was in slowly replied uhh sugar, no we dont have sugar..

 

Somehow without a thought, without thinking for one second I just said I know where we can get some.. I have never run so fast in my life up the stairs and instinct just took over and I ran (with the man behind me ) to the Chinese restaurant and without a thought just ran to the first table I saw and grabbed two handfuls of packets of Sugar and turned and handed them to the Man and said You go Ill find you Ill bring more.. I grabbed some more ignoring the obviously shocked restaurant owner yelling at me what do you think you are doing.. Calmly I replied Its an emergency we need sugar for someone although not happy about his restaurant environment being disrupted she seemed to understand, I ran back and found the Man and then saw the direness of the situation

 

His friend a 43 year old woman was in Diabetic shock of the worst kind, her body convulsing uncontrollably.. he had laid her down and was just putting sugar on his fingers and feeding it to her mouth best he could through her body jumping and convulsing.

 

Still in instinct mode, adrenalin running I said What else can we do.. feeling like that wasnt enough, I noticed at this point that he was himself a bit in shock as he had just carried her out of a dark movie theater to the hallway to be able to help his friend, someone else thank goodness came and asked should I call an ambulance,  we both said yes the next second someone brought a nurse that happened to be in the theater, she asked If anyone had orange juice (as the young lady was still convulsing, the sugar not really seeming to help)..

 

Although my out of shape body was still reeling from the stairs running (pathetic yes) I said I got it.. and Ran up the stairs and to the local Trader Joes knowing that I probably looked like a crazy full of sweat nut to some, I ran to the first clerk and said simply There is an emergency we need Orange Juice I am going to take some and Ill be back to pay ok? He nodded approvingly, I ran for what seemed forever to the back to get OJ and Grabbed it and it was off back to the movie theater, although in retrospect not that far of distance, at the time it just seemed to take FOREVER to get back.

 

I got the Orange Juice back to the nurse who started giving to the lady, this seemed to help a lot as slowly her convulsions stopped.

 

Eventually the ambulance got there and they took over.

 

What I will never forget is the way a few of us just came together, none of us knowing anyones name and never even at the end needing to know who the other was. As I left knowing the Paramedics had things covered the nurse thanked me for running around and getting stuff and with a smile I thanked her and shook her hand half jokingly saying nice work .

 

As I left, the man who I still had no idea and will probably never know who he was.. nor knowanything about his friend the patient.... took the time to truly  thankme and I said no Need and shook his hand and wished him luck..

 

Ah yes!....
 Ask and you shall receive!...
 somehow today all the sorry stuff going on in my life did not seem to matter anymore... sounds kind of  everyday to say this but it is true, perspective changes everything and this situation certainly gave me exactly what I asked the universe for on the way out of my movie , it certainly gave me that "something" that I needed


This was a great lesson in appreciation of life and the things that you DO have.....never discount how bad things are for you....

It is amazing too me, and yet it shouldn't be, because it seems to happen all the time how if you just let it, the universe delivers to you...
I am beyond excited to be working with a few new projects including the release of my brand new Bviolin EP (clips coming).
The EP seemed to just write itself and happen out of inspiriation one day and thanks to the great musicianship of good friend and band mate from Middle Earth (myspace.com/middleearthensemble).

We have some huge shows comign up soon and they are selling out fast, and I can tell you it is an experience you want to be a part of.

The most amazing thing about the Emilio project is that I was looking for my next major project to be with somenoe that is deep rooted in their music and culture like myself,and thanks to a first date out in Anaheim, I met emilio 5 months ago and it has been just great ever since... do not miss us
