The Red Tie Affair is on indefinite hiatus. However, its members are still active in the new band Save Pointe. You should go be our friend on MySpace. We have a new demo posted on their page. Its much different than t/r/t/a, but we hope you like it.

Its been along time since we've posted anything here on the Red Tie Affair MySpace page. Reason being is we have had a lot going on and we have some major plans.

First and foremost, we want to congratulate our singer and guitarist, the new Mr and Mrs Daniel Kemp for tying the knot this past weekend.

They are currently on their honeymoon. Once they return we will be reconvening practice. However, we have big plans. We are starting anew. We are changing our name and writing new songs with a new style. Its a scary, yet exciting time for us. We will keep you posted with our progress.

As for the Red Tie Affair, we plan on booking a farewell show, but the details and probabilities are not confirmed. Believe us, when we know, you'll know. To all of our listeners, thank you for years of support.

Again, we would like to welcom Daniel Roberts into The Red Tie Affair. Daniel is our new guitarist and will be making his debut at The Clearwater Theater in West Dundee, IL. on St. Patty's Day! Along with this great addition to the band we are happy to annouce that our debut E.P. "You Are Cordially Invited" will be available in the next few weeks at Chicagoland Best Buys stores! Thanks to everyone that came to the Double Door on a Tuesday night last night. All the bands sounded amazing and good times were had by all. We are taken December off to start auditioning second guitar players and to finish up some new material that we wanted to have done for Double Door. We will debuting some new songs at North Beach next year. Hope to you then.

We have spruced up the Space a little bit and are invading the world wide web ten fold. We're working on putting up a four song acoustic EP exclusive to MySpace. The URL is in our Top 8 right now. Please friend it. Especially if you want to correspond with us. Thanks to the Manno Bros for having us on Q101's Crash Test Radio last night and spinning a Lights Over Bridgeport song. Very cool of you guys. We'll be playing a new song "Thunder" tonight at the Double Door. Actually, its called "Its Your Move." Sorry Kevin. Hope, everyone comes and checks it out tonight.

We'd at this time like to clarify, The Black Tie Affair which Shawn mentioned are actually from Cleveland. However, there is also one in Boston and one in Virginia, though neither are punk bands. We hope to hear from any of them and the White Tie Affair any day now about the Tie Tour. yet, I wouldn't hold my breath.

Thanks to Jerry Bryant from JBTV for airing our live performance of "Don't Even" this week.  There are talks about us getting a whole episode to ourselves in the coming weeks.

Sadly, our slated performance on the Q101 Morning Fix has been cancelled due to the show itself being cancelled.  However, we will now be interviewed and playing songs from the album on Q101's Crash Test Radio, Monday, November 26th at 9:00 pm. 

Speaking of the album, we are hoping to get our first proper release, "You Are Cordially Invited" in for the Double Door show.  The ep is out to press via the wonderful folks at Fire-Tone Records.  It will be available through iTunes, CD Baby and Best Buy, heopfully shortly thereafter.  Check out Team Rockit in our Top 12.

We are rewriting our past here in TRTAland.  We're forgetting all about the year we wasted and are regrouping are entire strategy.  Long story short, we sent our first OFFICIAL release out to press today.  Our Debut EP, "You Are Cordially Invited..." should be back just in time for our upcoming show at Double Door.  It will be released through Fire-Tone Records and should be available through iTunes, CD Baby and Best Buy as well as personally through us via PayPal.
